Applebees Offers Raw Bacon and Limp Lettuce
by Judy I. - Posted Wed July 7, 2010 @ 12:00 PM

On July 6, 2010, went to Applebee's located on West Peoria Ave in Glendale Arizona for lunch.

My husband and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. The lettuce on my plate was limp and brown on edges... HORRIBLE. Also there was one little piece of tomato and a little piece of onion and some small pickles.

BACON WAS MOSTLY RAW AND LIMP on both burgers.

Told our waitress Nicole V. and it took a long time to get the bacon back from the kitchen and it was still partially raw!

Her attitude was like she was doing us a favor. Like it was a real chore to wait on us or make sure our order was OK. Maybe she was tired. Not very friendly.

Was hard to ask her for anything. It looked like the typical story of a waitress waiting on many tables. Understaffed I guess to save money or whatever.

I had a few bites of my hamburger and after taking off all of the ingredients, it was just too plain and dull. At least the beef was cooked.

Very disappointing meal. We have eaten here before, but the food was a lot better and the waitresses more attentive and polite.

Could of gotten a fresher and better priced lunch elsewhere in town. Which is what we'll do next time.

Don't intend to return to Applebee's.

Since this incident the other day and mentioning it to several people, all I've heard has been bad reviews by friends and relatives.

Refund me my $48.27 for a lousy lunch.

They need some kind of quality control for their food and their staff.

Unbelievable that a restaurant that advertises so much on TV how great their food is would serve some poor quality veggies and, of course, RAW bacon.
