Shady Post Void
by Amanda R. - Posted Wed August 10, 2011 @ 1:13 PM
I received 3 infant sleep sacks as a gift in the mail from target.com. They were not the kind I wanted so I went to the store to return them the next morning. I was given a gift card for the return in the amount of 29.95 because I had no gift receipt.
We went shopping with the gift card and purchased 84.62 worth of baby items and used our gift card. We paid the difference of 54.67 with our credit card. When I got home I realized the return should have been for 63.57 instead of 29.95 and since that is about a $30 difference, I decided it was definitely worth printing out a gift receipt and going back.
Went back to the store the same day. The manager post voided the transaction where we purchased our items for 84.62. She re-did the return and put it on a gift card and then rung up the items from the transaction to where we purchased the items using the gift card with the proper amount and we paid the difference of 21.05. It is now 5 days later and the post voided amount of 84.62 has not been credited to our account.
So, to make a long story short, we have essentially paid for the same items twice and target owes us 84.62.
give us our 84.62 back NOT in the form of a gift card, because I will not be spending another dime in that store for as long as I live. I want nothing more than what I am owed.
