Phone & DSL Service Relocation Nightmare
by Arthur O. - Posted Wed September 7, 2011 @ 11:29 AM

I recently moved from one house to another within the same small town of Mathews, VA. I called 2 weeks before the move and scheduled having my Verizon home phone service & DSL (one the same line) relocated to the new house. This was scheduled to happen on the 31st of August 2011. It is now the 7th of Sept. and my DSL is still not work, my phone service was finally installed yesterday on Sept. 6th. Now Verizon is saying that they can't complete the order because the CO is closed to new DSL service as it's reached capacity. I tried explaining that I already had DSL service on the CO, and have had it for nearly 8 years, and that I am not a new DSL customer, I am an existing customer who's service is being terminated at a new location. I am livid over this situation, I've spent at least an hour on the phone with Verizon every day for that last week (using up my Verizon wireless minutes) and have had make a 3 hour round-trip every day to our Virginia Beach office because I can't work from my home office without my phone & DSL service.

I want my DSL service restores now!!! I would also like to be compensated for the downtime, my Verizon wireless minutes and all the time I've spent trying to get this issue resolved. I can be reached at ArthurOtt@verizon.net or 804-725-8027.
