Hollister Gift Card Policies Need To Change
by . - Posted Tue December 20, 2011 @ 12:00 PM
I recently bought 2 cardigans at Hollister in the Pomanade mall of Temecula during their 50% off sale. To purchase, I used THEIR own promotional 25 dollar gift card and the difference in cash. Upon walking out the store, (I haven't even stepped outside the store yet) I saw another cardigan (EXACTLY the SAME price) that I wanted better. After waiting in line for about 10 minutes, when we got to the cashier I tried to do an even exchange but they said they couldn't since I used THEIR gift card and cash so only the cash credit would count. So basically, to exchange I would have to pay and extra 20 dollars because my gift card "didn't count in the exchange" for stripes vs. no stripes -____- Of course, I wouldn't pay 20 dollars extra just to exchange my cardigan... I don't think anyone would. And this was all within a 10 minute time frame and literally the cashier who did my original purchase was standing right next to the cashier doing my exchange and she never said a word. Just wow...
Let me exchange my cardigan without having to pay and extra 20 dollars! And to benefit others in the future, this company should do something about the policies of their gift cards.
