Cartera operates loyalty program portal whereby customers can shop unline at with various merchants and receive loyalty points/miles such as with United Airlines MileagePlus. I have used their United "MileagePlus Shopping" portal three times in the last 4 months -- my mistake. Getting them to actually pay the points they offered has been like pulling teeth. It has taken about 16 e-mails to their so called customer service department, and so far only one out of the three has been paid. Their customer service department rarely replies, and when they do they almost never follow through with their committments. Avoid United Airlines "MileagePlus Shopping" like it is the plague, and do the same for anything related to Cartera Commerce.

1) Pay the miles that are due promptly. 2) Respond to customer complaints. 3) meet their customer service committments
