"Extra" charge to my credit card....
by Daniel N. - Posted Tue April 17, 2012 @ 7:38 AM
Good morning,
My name is Daniel N. and I am a Department of Defense (DoD) employee stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky. I traveled to North Little Rock, Arkansas at the end of March to attend training for work and decided to stay at the Wyndham Riverfront Little Rock. My friend and I arrived on the 31st of March and stayed only one night due to the lack of amenities (no free breakfast, refridgerators were not cold, etc). We paid for the one night stay (for a total of $97.18) and checked out on the 1st of April. We found a location closer to our training location AND the new place was cheaper (over $10 cheaper), had a FREE breakfast (not $13 like Wyndham was going to charge), and the amenities were outstanding. After getting my credit card in the mail yesterday (16 April), I noticed an "extra" charge from the Wyndham North Little Rock for a total of $421.00. I am a DoD employee and MUST pay my bill on time or I will get a negative review on my next evaluation report for not paying my full bill on time. I will NOT let this happen.
I want Wyndham to provide a CREDIT of $421 to my charged card IMMEDIATELY to prevent a negative impact on my next evaluation report. There is NO WAY that "extra" charge should have happened since I paid my bill in full upon checkout on the 1st of April. This is totally unacceptable.
My wife used to work at a Wyndham hotel and we have never had this sort of trouble with billing nor lack of amenities to this point. Based upon this stay at the North Little Rock location, I am not sure if I will choose to stay at any Wyndham Hotel in the future nor would I recommend Wyndham hotels to co-workers, family or friends.
I hope we can get this resolved quickly.
Thank you.
