Fitness Reimbursement
by Hildi A. - Posted Wed May 16, 2012 @ 3:14 PM

Back in December I called HPHC to inquire about adding my family to my gym membership (which I get for free as a fitness instructor) for the winter months . The representative told me that I could be reimbursed up to $150 for 4 consecutive months membership. Never did she say that those months had to be in the same calendar year as I just found out when I tried to get reimbursed. The gym membership ran from Dec. - March (the months when my children are not playing sports). Obviously, had I been properly informed of this dubious policy, I would have continued the membership for an extra month in order to get reimbursed by Harvard Pilgrim rather than losing 3 months of membership fees AND an extra month of my family's gym membership. Given the amount of money I pay for health care, it is ridiculous to be denied $112.14 for fitness reimbursement when I was not properly informed of the policy by one of Harvard Pilgrim's own employees.

Reimburse me at least for the three months of gym membership my family paid this year, in the amount of $112.14.
