Leaky Refrigerator Valve

On Oct 26, 2016 we discovered a leak in the back of our refrigerator. On November 4, 2016 the repair man identified a faulty valve, ordered a replacement and scheduled the new valve installation for November 28th. The package arrived and when the repairman tried to install the valve he said they had sent a part for a washing machine, not a refrigerator. The repairman contacted the office, ordered the part and scheduled a repair for December 8, 2016. The part had not arrived by December 7, 2016 so the appointment was cancelled. Sears called to say the the valve is back ordered and they have no idea when it will arrive. She said because the refrigerator is just over five years old they have to wait until they get more requests for the part.

The damage caused by the leaky valve was over $5000.00. It is outrageous that a repair can't be accomplished in a more timely manner. If this is the kind of repair service Sears provides to your customers, I will not buy a Kenmore product again.

Either replace the new valve by Christmas or give me a new refrigerator for Christmas. I have a house full of company coming.
