Welcome to PlanetFeedback

Posted Mon October 3, 2005, by

Welcome to the new edition of PlanetFeedback. I sincerely appreciate your patience, and I want to assure you that we'll be doing everything possible to make the new PlanetFeedback on of the most satisfying and empowering sites on the web. PlanetFeedback has been an important part of the online consumer landscape since its formal launch in 2000. Since then, we've been dedicated to serving as trusted broker of rewarding interactions between consumers and companies.

If you are not yet familiar with our consumer mission statement please take the time to give it a read. As it articulates so well, "Consumer feedback -- positive and negative -- is inherently productive. Consumers want value, and they will provide loyalty in return. We are committed to making that exchange easy, frequent and rewarding."

The new PlanetFeedback will include a host of new features including online communities and improved search for the ever-popular shared letters. We also hope to more actively engage our most passionate site evangelists in the community management of the site. One of our PlanetFeedback bloggers, for instance, known to many as "Mr Helpful," has been one of the most active and prolific members of the PlanetFeedback community. We hope to discover more Mr. Helpfuls out there in order to make this site as good as it can be.

True to our equity, feedback is always welcome, and I encourage you to send lots of it. We're listening. Thanks again for your patience.

-- The PlanetFeedback Team

Purchased some items today at SEARS in Willow Grove, PA. Good service
and very helpful salespeople ....from djon01@COMCAST.NET - 10/19,2008

Good service and reasonable prices seems to be
their trade mark.

I'm not sure where or how to send this, but I want it known: I don't
generally make my letters known because it seems there is a "group"
that always has nasty comments regardless of what is posted. It seems
to be better from what I've seen so I did post mine.

I use/d this site to get opinions of places, not to hear the nasty
stuff that a small group seems to like to post.

I'm hoping that something is being done to remove the people that must
have no lives other than to trash other peoples opinions. Otherwise,
this site is great, I've gotten some results!

This site promised old members would be notified when the site went
live again. I wasn't. I was even signed up for the user panel. The
email address I used to register on the site hasn't changed since
1995, so it's not as though it became unreachable.

What's your excuse?

Hi,

I used to send letters out to specific people at companies; now I
don't know where my letter is going and am afraid it will be tossed in
the wastebasket.

Why don't you provide the names address and phone numbers of the
executives so I can get my letter directed to them and follow up with
a phone call?

Thanks,

Andi

I have had my Dell 962 All in One Printer replaced FIVE times this
past year for farious tech promblems and no one will listen to my
complaints, all they want to do is send you a replacement printer.
There is a serious problem with this printer and you don't do a thing
to fix it. I have writtetn letters and made phone calls to the tech
dept. and no one responds. If this is the way you treat customers I
have had my last Dell. Sidney L. Dobson Tel 207-784-0745

Bring back the old planet feedback.....The new one has too many
glitchs. You can't reveiw your letter and make changes before it gets
sent. It takes a while before it gets posted to your account... It
makes it harder to complain to compamnies....

I love that it's back, but the last few times I've sent letters, I get
a message stating that the letters didn't go through. What do you do
after that?

by maddddmike Posted Mon November 21, 2005 @ 12:51 PM

First I'm glad PlanetFeedback is back! ..giving consumers more power
to voice their concerns.

Second; can we login to our OLD accounts?
Or must everyone create New accounts from scratch?

Third; don't worry about the spellchecker, no big deal. That's a
non-issue. PlanetFeedback's mission is one of consumer advocacy, not
being a crutch for peoples' bad spelling!

Welcome back. Let's get On with it!
It's really good to see this website back in operation!

BRING BACK THE OLD!!!!! Why can't I post any reviews? When I try to
go to the write-up page, the main page just refreshes itself.

I too am having this same problem! Also when I use the Contact Us link
to report this issue, it takes me to the letter generating form and
then sends me back to the homepage. I really used to love this site,
but now it is so frustrating not being able to do even the most basic
features that I had been used to on the old site.

This new Planet Feedback site sux. It doesn't recognize Wal Mart as a
company, it didn't give me the chance to publicly show a letter, it
doesn't show where my letters were.

What is the improvement here? I need to work with a new website. Any
one have any suggestions for an alternative to Planet Feedback?

Is there a way to change our password to something we can remember
instead of the random string of letters, numbers and symbols there is
now? I had a normal password on the old site. I don't seen a link to
update/change my account or profile. Thanks!

Glad you are back. There have been several times when I wanted to
write a letter to a company and then realized that PFB was down. The
new format will take some getting used to though.

I was also going through withdrawals from the site. Welcome back
planet feedback!

Reply

So why can't I post a letter? I fill in the company name and hit the
button, and the screen merely refreshes... It seems
counterproductive, eh?

I'm so happy you're back! I also checked the old site almost every
day for the last three months, anxiously awaiting your return. If I
must go through life being a consumer (is there really a choice?), the
least I can do is be a well-informed one, and PlanetFeedback helps me
be just that. Thanks!

It is good to see that PFB is back. I have been checking the old site
every day since it went down. I knew something was up when I couldn't
pull it up anymore. I just want to welcome you back and if there is
anything I can help with, just let me know.

Hi Pete

Thanks for getting it back up. I hope the statement about community
management means we the users can help you to deal with problem users
(trolls) such as Maria K and Mike H and therefore see the site as more
productive and less a toy of the perpetually bored and paranoid.
