Hai!

I received your two offer code [Colorful coupons] for Citi Simplicity credit card and Citi Reward Master credit card to apply.

I have applied since 2005 when i getting this offer..In July 2004,I applied.your statement said that i had many inquiries only.so my application declined.I had sent explaination that why i had inquiries.I called your office who said that do not apply any credit minimum 45 days to 90 days .I may be eligible to get offer again.

Then i applied On JAN-20th -2006 after 90 days break. Now your statement says that I had many inquiries.Nothing else in your letter say. This is ridiculous and shocking. If you do not want to give credit ,why you send the offer with colorfull coupon.? You inducing & attracting Consumer with colorful coupon to apply and making them lot of inquiries in their credit report. Then you saying that your Application declined so and so for...............Nothing.......

Our suggestion is please, kindly send your colorful & Attractive coupon to whoever qualify your terms & conditions and matching your score system such as pre approval system. We may be aware to apply often and often.

When we enter your offer code ,you say us "congratulation" & then making consumer as crazy like declined.[nuts]

In July 2004,I have Auto Loan total amount was $ 12,000/=.This amount brought down
[such swab the vehicle] my current Auto Loan total is $ 5,800/= in my credit report.

You have not feel lot of differences between JULY-2004 and JAN-2005 in my credit report.I have closed 3 credit card accounts due to High APR in same time.I have 17 good standing Accounts and no negative accounts in my credit report.

I have eligible to get credit value 45% in my credit report saying.

Your letter says that I may send the updated credit report,if I have any questions.?????

If you have not found and feel differences , why we have to send the another report to you spending mail expenses?

This is second time sending mail this .please kind respond what you feel consumer feeling?

Please,reconsider & approve my application .
Let me bring the balance transfer from high APR to your Low APR offer.

I would thank you.

Ayub,

First, I understood the point you were making in your complaint letter
and so will CitiBank, so don't worry about that.

Second, the same people who attacked your letter because of your
"English" are the same people who live on this board just to pounce on
and criticize any letter they see posted.

Unless you need a credit card and have good credit, throw the coupons
in the trash. Unfortunately, you'll probably get these in the mail
2-3 times a week, whether you want them or not. The easiest way to
stop them from sending you junk mail is to do what I did. Take the
postage-paid envelope, put a few Pizza Hut coupons in it, and send it
back. Not only will some lucky CitiBank employee get a discount on a
pizza, but they'll appreciate it so much they'll stop sending you
their junk mail. Try it, it worked for me.

I had a REALLY rough night last night that went through this morning.
Sick kid and trouble getting his meds.

So...it might just be me but does this letter make any sense?

I cant seem to make any sense of it at all.

Pre-Approved offers (aka "Colorful Coupons") are not a guarantee that
you will be aproved for credit - - they mean that you met the initial
criteria to be eleigible to apply. Everytime you accept one of these
offers it results in another hard inquiry on your credit reports.

There are many reason why a person is not approved and it sounds like
you need to become better educated on how credit works including the
impact of 17 open accounts.

I would also like to suggest that if you post any additional letters
to this or any other site that you have someone help you word them as
this and other letters you have posted to PFB are extremely difficult
to read and understand.

It seems to me that you keep applying whenever you get an offer in the
mail. Applying to all of them will lower your credit score (too many
inquiries).

You say you have 17 accounts, how much do you OWE? Needing more credit
cards and already having 17 accounts is an awful lot of credit.

I would rewrite this letter so it makes a little more sense, it is
very hard to read and understand.

Just a few simple suggestions:

Rewrite this letter so that it is not so painful for one to read.
Buy a paper shredder. When "colorful coupons" come in the mail, insert
them into the shredder.
Have someone at your bank go over your credit report with you to see
where you might be going wrong.

Good luck.
