I Do Not Appreciate Office Depot "Triffling" With My Only Means Of Transport

I was in your Port Richey, FL store when someone took it upon themselves to disturb my bicycle. I bring it inside & place it out of the way so no one will be likely to get hurt. It was placed outside the door where someone could have fallen over it. Furthermore, someone parks their motorcycle just outside the door which could very well cause anyone physical harm. I spend quite a bit at this location. I do not appreciate someone triffling with my only means of transport. This gives me pause. I feel I cannot continue to frequent an establishment which shows no regard for others personal effects.

I hope that you will investigate this matter & not just brush it aside. I endeavor to avoid anyone getting injured by where I place the bicycle. The same cannot be said of whomever is parking that motorcycle right outside the store door on the sidewalk.

I get the same reaction when I try to drive my Volkswagen into
Staples. What do they want me to do, leave it out in the parking lot?
There's birds out there, for God's sake!

As a bicyclist myself, I find your lack of judgement and courtesy
dishearenting to say the least.

I constantly hear other people complaining how drivers are rude to
bicyclists, how they have no regard for sharing the road. Consider for
a moment that most of the bicyclists are courteous. But there are a
handful, as your letter proves, feel that they have every right to do
what they wish, which includes bringing their bikes inside.

You should know better than to do that. Are you willing to risk a
lawsuit had someone fell and hurt themselves? But, you say, the store
would pay. Not necessarily if it were the negelence of a customer who
felt he was so important and entitled that he could bring his only
means of transport inside.

I suggest that you think before you pull stupid stunts like this. I'm
sure that they teach safety courses in your area as to how a person
should properly ride and care for their bicycles. Perhaps you ought to
enroll yourself in one and refresh yourself with common courtesy.

Be lucky that no one fell over your bike and broke their leg or hurt
themselves otherwise. Be lucky that no one stole it. Lock up your bike
next time!

How completely ridiculous! You really thought it was ok to bring your
bicycle into a place of business?! What are you thinking? And parking
a motorcycle outside the door is completely different. For one thing
it is OUTSIDE! Let me tell you, if someone tried to bring their
bicycle into my store, the only thing they would get from me would be
the vacuum cleaner, to clean up the mess they made! If they then
wrote a letter saying they would no longer frequent my establishment,
I would do a little happy dance at the thought of being rid of such a
dumbass for good!

You don't have the right to bring your bike into a business unless you
have permission. It belongs outside, and if you are concerned about it
being stolen then LOCK IT UP! What if it was stolen, would you hold
Office Depot accountable? Probably because you seem like that kind of
person, which is why they don't want bikes in the store.

Who says an employee moved it, what if it was another customer?

You are wrong to think it's OK to bring your bicycle inside Office
Depot unless your have permission from the management.

and that's why he's complaining. If I worked in that store, both the
bike and its owner would be out on the street!

Bikes belong outside, not inside.

Did you ask if you could bring your bicycle into the store?

Your bike goes OUTSIDE...not INSIDE. Didnt your mother teach you that?
If you are worried about something happening to it then you should
carry a chain and lock and secure it.

You're not supposed to take a bike inside the store even is you put it
out of the way. What IF someone hurt themselves on it? The store would
be held accountable for it.
The motorcycle has nothing to do with your bike.
