Sometimes we have to look inside ourselves...
...I haven't been following PFB closely, and I only recently started paying attention to the blogs, but it sounds as if you have been badly hurt or are feeling put down by some of the other members.
That's too bad.
I never went to college.
I couldn't afford it, and I was planning to work for a year or so but before I knew it, years had slipped away and I was no closer to my goal.
I am not stupid for having missed out on college, and I do not feel that I am less of a person as a result. I don't allow others to make me feel that way, either.
I think there are some feelings of shame or bitterness on your part because you are not a college graduate, and in your own mind, you feel as if you are somehow inadequate because you don't have a degree, or else you wouldn't allow others to make you feel bad about yourself.
While I am not ashamed of the fact that I did not go to college, I do regret the lack of job opportunities open to me now. I have spent over 27 years in retail because most really good jobs require a college diploma.
That does not diminish me as a person, however.
I have done the best job I had with the intelligence and skills that I do possess, and there is no way I would ever let a college educated person make me feel as if I have not contributed to society in a meaningful way.
Neither should you. Let go of the bitterness.
You are obviously a smart and valuable person.

Ok, this might make people mad but here it goes.......Smokeing in my house. I don't smoke. I don't like the smell of smoke. I am not actually allergic to smoke but it does bother me. If you come to MY house and I ask you not to smoke inside then don't. Don't smoke inside and don't go stand right outside of the front door and leave it open so that the smoke blows in. Also don't go around telling people how horrible I am because I won't let you smoke in MY house. It is MY house NOT yours.
Anyone who wants to get mad about this, go ahead. Cuss, yell, scream, call me names, whatever you want. I've heard it all.

Why is it that people feel they have to be jerks to get their point across? If you act like an @ss to me, I will act like one right back at you. What comes around goes around. The question still remains though. Why do you feel you have to be an @ss in the first place?
Also, why do you have to point out every single spelling mistake that people make when it doesn't even matter. Obviously you knew what was being said. Even if you didn't, you don't have to point it out by saying someone is stupid because of it.
Then there is the fact that these same people get mad when someone points out their mistakes. I just don't understand some of the idiots on this site.

Hi everyone. No great words of wisdom or really anything interesting here so if that's what your looking for don't bother reading any further. As you may have guessed from my nickname, I love poetry. I have several books of poetry that I read quiet often but I also write poetry. No I don't have any published. Curently I have only let a few close friends and my boyfriend read any of the ones I wrote. I'm very shy in person but feel that I can be more open on the internet so you might not guess it right away. Well I gues thats all. Have a good day all
