I have a $500 spending limit on my account, after the 2 month battle over a deposit that was made by and lost by YOU, the account has gone out of control. Even though the issue has been worked out with the deposit, now my account is suspended at $ 343.00 which is UNDER the limit set by YOU. Why is my account suspended if it is under the damn limit??????
I called customer service they told me one thing and transfered me to the finance department for them to tell me something totally different and NOT OF ANY HELP!!!!!!
I WANT MY ACCOUNT RELEASED SO I CAN USE MY PHONE, I AM A TRUCK DRIVER, AND NEED MY PHONE, AND SINCE THIS IS ANOTHER ERROR ON YOUR PART, I WOULD LIKE IT IF SOMEONE WOULD GET OFF THEIR BUTT AND FIX IT, SOMETIME REAL SOON!!!!!!!!

I just had a really fantastic experience with Nextel/Sprint via email. After 4 years of being a customer, my work decided to change providers and I no longer had any use for the Nextel. I emailed customer service to find out how I should go about canceling the account without having any early termination fees and he replied that all I had to do was to reply to his email. I did that then didn't hear anything back for about a week. So, I emailed them again this morning and he replied (within 10 minutes, I might add) that my account had been successfully cancelled.
The great part is that they did exactly what I asked of them without trying to offer everything in the world to keep me as a customer AND I have EVERYTHING in writing, including confirmation that my account has been cancelled. No one can dispute that should there ever be a problem in the future.
So, my attitude towards Sprint/Nextel right now is a positive one. Hopefully I won't get a bill in a month charging me an early termination fee.

It seems like many of Nextel's and Sprint's customers are having issues even now, after the merger should be finished. I'm not sure why, but these two companies seem to be having trouble getting a clear cut policy figured out. I'm also not sure why they decided to continue on with the appearance and branding of two separate companies. I think that has caused more problems than it has solved, but I'm not an expert on business, and they must have there reasons. Anyway, there are two things about your letter I'd like to point out.
1) Is it possible you have a past due balance on this account? You don't say whether the $343 is on one bill or more than one, and that would make a difference. Lots of people with spending limits make the mistake of thinking that if they don't go over the limit, they don't have to pay the bill. This is an understandable mistake, but nonetheless a past due balance, if left outstanding for long enough, will result in a service interruption for anyone, spending limit or not.
2) I can understand why you would be upset by this, but I would advise you to calm down, think about the problem and how best to communicate it in a professional manner. Companies get a lot of complaint letters, and unfortunately it seems that the angriest letters often get the least results. Also, make an effort to be calm and polite when you speak with Nextel/Sprint's customer service reps on the phone. The person you are speaking or writing to is in all probability not responsible for the problem, and they will be more likely to help you if you remain civil and professional.
I hope Nextel/Sprint get all these bugs ironed out, it seems like it is causing a lot of unhappy customers!

Your absolutely right... nextel/sprint sucks. The cellular service itself is awful (dropped calls all the time, dead areas are everywhere, etc) and customer service is even worse. I tried calling with a question about my account and after giving my account number *off the bill*, they said the account didnt exist. I was transferred more times than I can remember before I got it straightened out. I was told there's Nextel, Sprint and Sprint together with nextel. As a customer.. that is CONFUSING!
Good luck... you're gonna need it with this company.
