My Cat JOJO and her tail

Write a Letter to this Company

Yes, I had recently purchased your Petmate Purrforma XL Self-Cleaning Litter Box for my cat, JOJO. It was working out splendidly, until I came home the other day, and found JOJO just laying in the litter box. I called her, but she couldn't get up. I went over, and saw that her tail was caught in the cleaning mechanism. I had my husband take it apart, and got JOJO out safely.

The thing is, JOJO takes a while to do her business, longer than the time permits for your litter box. What you may want to think about doing is changing the timer to a longer time frame. Please take my advise, and I may buy your product again. Thank you.

How incredibly dangerous - I'm happy to hear that your cat is without
any major harm. I hope this company will modify their dangerous
product. If they really wanted to highlight their customer service
follow-up, they would allow you to try the revised product for your
cat, free of charge.

Um - you do realize, right, that the litterbox has settings? 5, 10
and 20 minute settings? And that if your cat takes more than 20
minutes to do her business in a litterbox, she really needs to see a
vet?

If seeking medical attention is out of the question, there are other
litterboxes that would suit your needs. The Stylette LitterSweep
Ultra Automated Litter System waits for your cat to leave and then
waits an additional 25 minutes until it sweeps waste away. And both
the LitterMaid Elite Basic Advanced Automatic Self-Cleaning Litter Box
(LME5500) and (LME9000) have the technology to sense when your cat has
stepped out of the box, waits ten minutes, and then begins it's
cleaning process.

Hope your kitty is ok.

OMG she must have been so scared! I hope she is ok now.

I had one of those electric litter boxes and I found that they just
didn't work well. It just didn't scoop everything or got stuck.

What I use is the little crystals. They don't smell and last for like
a month (along with scooping out poop).
