Walmart

When I went to Walmart there were no doughnuts and nobody was at the jewlery place so I had to wait 45 minutes for a stupid earring and when she finally got back she was just standing there talking to people as they walked by and not helping us at all there was like 7 people in line and she was talking about a wedding or something and then when I finally got a doughnut they were stale and dry...it made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

Make GOOD doughnuts...have more than one person working in the jewlery place and actually have them WORK.

why would you wait 45 minutes for a "stupid" earring?
that's pointless

i doubt she was just standing there and just talking to people. did
you make yourself noticeable? perhaps you were hiding and she did not
see you.

What the hell are you talking about?

Clearly you are a republican. Clearly that has zero to do with this
post.

Conservative, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life. Or
something like that.

Or not, if you prefer. I mean, hello, we're liberals!

I'm not sure exactly what political affiliation has to do with this
complaint. At a guess I would have said nothing. Thanks for throwing
that out there in an obvious attempt to start a flame war, though.
How sadly not surprising.

(Unless you are literally thanking a diety for liberals. In which
case, you're welcome, and disregard the above.)

In all fairness to the employees at WALMART, they get paid under
minimum wage with no health benifits. Would you really be motivated to
give your all under these circumstances?

Sorry, I have little compassion when it comes to doughnuts at a
Walmart. I would prefer they were handing out Godiva chocolate
instead. I am someone who believe in good customer service and
unfortunately, this country has lost sight of what that is. Big
business just doesn't care anymore. Personally, I am more offended
when I can't understand what is being announced over the loud speaker
because it is in Spanish. Sorry, I thought I was in the United States
of America. If I have to listen to Spanish, then I want to hear my
native language - German, or even Danish for that matter. When was
the last time you heard Christmas carols in French at Christmas?

You are right when it comes to some Walmart employees not wanting to
work. Heaven helps you if you ask them a question. They looked ticked
off and usually send you to the wrong dept. or worse they totally
ignore you.

What time did you go to the store? Perhaps you came at a slow time
when there's not many employees.

And if you needed help in jewelry, you could've asked somebody, even a
cshier, to page somebody to come over to jewelry. If you just stand
around at the counter and don't say anything, nobody's going to know
you need assistance.

And if you want good doughnuts, go to Krispy Kreme. I wouldn't expect
much in the way of quality when it comes to food produced by Wally
World. However, I make an exception for their fried chicken, it is
about the best I've ever eaten.

This is Walmart we're talking about. The lowest of LOW for retail.
When I went the other night to get sum cheap shorts for my vacation,
the fitting room attendant was just "like standing there like talking
to her friend and like omg!"... i could have walked in with 20 shirts
to try on.. she wouldn't have cared.. and then hearing them talk about
the girl's father saying to live with the boyfriend before getting
married.. yea THATS work!...I had to bite my lip.. but yea.. MOST of
the people who work there are crappy anyways. BUT.. what time did you
go? because I bet at later times.. there ARE no doughnuts left.. fresh
ones at least.

Doughnuts and earrings in the same place in the store? Ok, I guess I
need to get to Wal-mart a little more often.

I believe this is two complaints, but the letter writer has thrown
them both into a blender, and this letter is what it pooped out.

Did you attempt to go to another department to have them page a
jewelry associate, or did you just wait the 45 minutes in silence? I
also think in writing this letter it would serve you better to make
one paragraph about the jewelry department, and another about the
doughnut.

by Venice Posted Fri June 30, 2006 @ 4:34 PM

Why not stick the doughnut through your ear and use it as an earrring.
Both problems solved.

I'm sorry for being mean, but it does seem logical.

You might want to re-write this letter when you are a little less
angry and frustrated. Oh and using a couple of periods wouldn't hurt
either.

I can see that you are upset about your Wal-Mart shopping experience.
I can see why you are frustrated, it's annoying when employees seem to
be doing nothing, and paying for a poor quality product can be
upsetting, but you might be better served by rewriting this letter
with a little less combative tone.

Try to keep in mind that that you are writing a business letter to a
very busy company, and phrases like, "it made me throw up in my mouth
a little bit," aren't likely to get your letter any positive
attention.

Another thing to consider is that it is at least possible that the
clerk you saw talking to people was on a break, or that she was
talking to customers.
