Dear E.S.
You say you want this thread to end and and BELIEVE ME, so do I. So, could you PLEASE do us all a favor and terminate this thread. Email Mr. Helpful (his email is on his page here) and ask him to remove the letter altogether. Problem solved, issue ended.
This has gone on long enough, it's pointless as all get out and quite honestly, it's a waste of perfectly good letter space.
If you and this Mike character want to duke it out, please do so in the privacy of your own email and leave the rest of PFB out of it.

I should point out one other thing. When I wrote this to Planetfeedback, I did so as a question to Planetfeedback. I didn't even realize it would come out as a separate post. I didn't intend to have another post running.

OMG! How OLD are you?! The original letter was one thing. I will admit I didnt read it and frankly...I am thankful for that. But starting this thread was so immature! And then continuing to fight with him, continuing to hold on to your attitude and consistantly blame EVERYONE else for everything is childish.
Take some responsibility. Hey! Guess what?! Its time to s*** or get off the pot! Let it GO! Get your toilets fixed. Stop assuming that everyone who doesnt agree with you is automatically wrong. Open your mind and realize that there might be something out there you didnt know.
Its a toilet. A freakin TOILET!!!!
If your weight wasnt such a darn issue to you YOU wouldnt keep harping on it and bringing it up. So you are overweight. SO WHAT?!?!? So am I! I have never broken a toilet. Most overweight people have never broken a toilet. Lets be a little realistic about this. From what I can say the issue was about your diet. Meaning the kind of food you eat...not the amount of calories that you consume. Maybe you need some fiber is all they were saying!
I have to say that the first couple of times I read this nonsense I couldnt understand it to save my life! I had to wait until some posts had been made on it before I could figure out what had happend.
The whole thing is totally irrational. SO WHAT if Mike thinks you are overweight?! What does it matter?! So what if he thinks one kind of toilet is better than another. How does it affect you?
Do you understand what you are saying here? You are accusing someone of stalking you because of a few posts made to a complaint letter you posted....all because he knew the name of a toilet and because he assumed you were overweight.
Last thing...do NOT expect someone to leave you alone while you are the one continuing to sling the mud. Dont tease the dog and then go crying to your mother when it bites you.

I appreciate all the posts both for and actually even those against me within this whole thing. But, at the risk of never seeing this thread climb to the "Top 20" ;-) Please stop admonishing the OP in any way.
She seems to have a very hard head, which there's nothing wrong with, but she's just going to argue with anyone who ever disagrees with her.
Let her do whatever she is going to do, and let that be that.

At the risk of having a post about me showing up on PFB for harrassment, you are at least half of the problem.
I read Mike's initial comments and then your snide little retort. You, along with a lot of PFB users, seem to think that if someone disagrees with your post, that you should respond as if they'd called your mother a whore. While I agree that the entire conversation between you two degenerated into something less than helpful. You are just as culpable as anyone for the state of your post. To start a new post and continue the fight speaks volumes about what kind of person you are.
By the way, your issue with your toilets is not Eljer's problem. You and your contractor went the cheapest way possible. Deal with it. If I buy a Chevy Aveo and it doesn't accelerate to 60 as fast as a Corvette, is it Chevy's fault? Should I sue them for a Corvette?

Wow, I'm kind of surprised! A chat about me is making its way up the charts.
Let's cover some points that have not been covered here:
First, the OP posted a letter about a topic I have some background with. She admitted that the contractor had installed four basic toilets without any form of upgrade. After an authorized service person, by the name of Frank, came to the house, he could find little, if any problem. He replaced three of the four flappers on the toilets and, I would guarantee, tried flushing each one. Each seemed to work, as Frank did not return for further service, but was not to the power the OP wanted.
Speaking to Eljer, the OP found that the manufacture claimed her and her family's diets had something to possibly do with the performance. They seemed to indicate she needed a more powerful flushing toilet to accommodate her needs.
Now the OP gets on PF and states she wants Eljer to replace and upgrade each of her toilets to their high-end model, for free!
My reply was similar to others I've read in this thread. She claimed she was going to file a class action lawsuit! By the time she was to pay a retainer, alone, for this lawsuit, she could replace all four toilets. This is just another consumer not using good common sense. Look, the point I gave her was very simple, it doesn't matter what you paid for the home, you purchased low-end toilets with the house. If the contractor stated anything different, you should be speaking with him, not complaining to Eljer once they confirmed they were working as they should. Her claim was, and still is, "all toilets should flush all waste." And that, further, the upgrades offered by the contractor was for extra "bells and whistles". What the heck extra bells and whistles are you going to put on a toilet?!
At one point, I used the sentence "assuming you don't want to change your diet, I'd consider replacing the toilets." It was a harmless sentence with little meaning, other than to tell her to consider replacing the toilets herself. She went off on the diet fraise again. The whole thing started making a little more sense she's touchy about the diet and the manufacture has simply stated that her weight may play a part in the way in which the toilet is functioning. So I asked her if "she would mind divulging the weight and sizes of her family members, as this may shed some light on the problem." She again, became defensive but then admitted to being overweight.
I am a believer in not trying to sweep a weight problem under the rug, so to speak. I told her that if she felt like she had a weight problem, that she should talk to her doctor first and she could get help in contacting OA. They are a great organization and can help people with any number of weight related problems.
She claimed I worked a Eljer, which I told her I did not, because I knew of her weight problem and the line of toilets the Eljer sold. To begin with, she brought up the weight issue in her original post. And, anyone who reads Consumer Reports has a good review of Eljer products and their competition. The OP kept stating that she had all the proof in the world about the problem at Eljer. I just simply pointed out the Consumer Reports article, which I admitted was not a magazine I always agreed with. This article, however, gave Eljer toilets its top two awards. One for the Titan, rated number one at just under $300, and another for the Aqua-Saver rated as "The Best Buy" at just under $200. And, by no means listed any of their products as junk! Now, I've got to ask, how in the hel! is she going to pay for a retainer for an attorney, actually follow it up in court, which by that time will make the retainer look like pocket change, and win a court case with what she calls proof?! This is the exact thing I explained to her! I told her it was more likely she get hit with a counter suit for frivolous court action. And then she would have a battle on her hands.
Anyway, then some gal by the name of Karma jumped in. Between both of them, they were doing nothing but out-and-out name-calling. I thought she was at least accepting of the help until this point. I basically asked the OP what she wanted me to say? I further told them I didn't agree to the name calling bit and told the OP if she felt she was okay with her weight, that was fine, if not, I wished her well with getting it off. She still claimed that her weight had nothing to do with the problem! I just let it go, but then I found out this gal has started this separate thread now not just complaining about her toilets, that she isn't getting resolved, but an employee harassing her! GIVE ME A BREAK!
I wish the OP all the happiness she deserves. But she needs help with more than her toilets. If she does have problems with the toilets, she better replace them herself. Claiming she is going in to court over this is simply nuts. If they really aren't that bad of a problem, I'd suspect she'll learn to live with it, if not, she'll pay to replace them herself. If she feels she has a weight problem, I wish her the best. Taking of pounds can be a real struggle, even to admit you have a problem. But, if she wants to loose the weight, I'm all for her! I hope that her and anyone else can refrain from name-calling it is only a way for an uneducated mind to express itself.
As far as Eljer, I'm far from the belief that the customer is always right. Sometimes the customer is right, in other cases, such as this, they are way off base. Between she and her contractor, they purchased a low-end toilet. And she complains because it doesn't perform as well as a high-end model! So Eljer should upgrade her for free?! Not even close. Her and her contractor should have decided to purchase a better model to begin with. Unlike the OP wants to believe, not all toilets flush the same and disposed of waste the same. I guess it's a hard lesson to learn, but it could have cost more. If she wants to upgrade her toilets now, it'll cost her about $2000.

If this is the same Mike R., he has been a poster here for years. Surprised to see the taunting comments he ended up making. He should've stopped when the OP got upset and requested that he leave her alone. Up until that part, his comments could have been construed as someone trying to educate a consumer. But yeah, then he "went there" and it became a personal attack, IMHO.

IMO, Mike R is just a person who likes to stir things up. So much so that he even goes so far as to research things to throw against you.
Unfortunately that is what you risk when you post anything on a public message board. You put yourself out there to people who love to troll. You get upset and emotional while he gets a good laugh at your expense. You can't say anything that truly offends him.
Your best course of action is to stop posting comments back to him. You know that you have a fairly valid complaint. Sure... a toilet should flush. I think that I would be just as upset if I bought a brand new house and the toilets didn't flush properly. But I'm also wondering if you had an independent plumber come out to check them out as there could be something wrong with the development's sewage lines. As unfortunate as it is, there are many builders who go the cheap way when laying sewage lines and this will cause toilets not to flush correctly too. You should exhaust all avenues before you seriously persue action against the company. Now, I no way shape or form work for Eljer... I'm just trying to give you advice.
Good luck with your toilets and really... just ignore Mike R. Even if Planetfeedback were to do anything about him, how hard would it be to make a new profile with a different e-mail address and keep harrassing?

I think you have a valid complaint to the manufacturer about the performance of your plumbing products. I'd take it up with them, maybe have them send a rep (other than this guy) to check the product or installation. I had a problem with Kholer (sp?) before. The first guy that came out, from the company that insalled it had nothing but rude and nasty to say. I politely thanked him and personally excorted him to the door, after making certain that he had all his tools and possessions in order.
I called Kholer (sp?) too lazy to go check.... and they sent a rep over. He dropped some dye pills in the tank and noted that a ring was installed backwards which caused my particular toilet to flush with so much pressure it would splash over onto the floor every time. He dis assembled a thing that sounds nasty but it's really what it's called. (ballcock) unscrewed some screws, flipped the pressure washer over, and fixed my problem) all this took was a call to an eight hundred number.
Why was I polite to the first guy and not fly off the handle or stoop to his level? Basically, he knows where I live. My name and phone number and credit card number if he wishes to dig further. So biting my tongue till it bled (I really wanted to put him in his place) I was nice and polite and thanked him for visiting and payed 35 buck fee.

OK, I finally got a chance to read the first letter. One of the things that you need to remember about the internet, message boards in particular, is that there are some people out there who do nothing but flame people. The entire reason they post is to get a rise out of someone. It is unfortunate and childish, and I am sorry that you seem to be targeted right now by one. As stated earlier, the best thing you can do is to simply stop responding. The more you do the happier they are.

Ok, so I went back and read all that childish silliness, and all I can say is stop it. Seriously. Who was rude to whom first, who called who what name, it's boring and it's childish.
E.S., there will be people in life that don't agree with you. There will be people in life that no matter what you say or how good you think your argument is, will never, ever, ever think you are right. There is nothing you can do about that. When you encounter those people, the mature response is to simply say, "Apparently we don't agree. Let's move on." Then do so.
I don't necessarily agree with your original letter either, but I'm not interested or knowledgeable enough where toilets are concerned to comment on it. Apparently, Mike R. has both an interest in and some knowledge about plumbing. This doesn't necessarily mean he works for Eljer. It could be because he is a plumber by trade, because he works for one of Eljer's competitors, because he is a contractor, or just because he is a guy with an internet connection and too much time on his hands. Yes, he has posted some rude things about you. You have also posted some pretty rude things about him.
Continuing to go back and forth about some toilets with someone on the internet isn't exactly the best possible use of your time. If it's what you want to do then I guess feel free, but that's my two cents to you. Do with it what you will.
