Flyertalk.com is an excellent resource if you are looking for forums
discussing various ways to maximize frequent flyer miles, hotel reward
points, car rental points, etc. I've also seen a number of posts on
promotions that are being offered that I wouldn't have heard about
otherwise.

Speaking of maximizing your frequent flyer miles . . . often airlines
will offer a lower fare if you connect through one or more cities. If
you have the time, and don't mind the connections, the Great Circle
Mapper shows you various routes and the mileage you will accrue
through each.

If you are picking someone up from the airport, but want to know
real-time what the status of the flight is, you can track a flight
based on the airline and flight number . . . very fun for kids too.

Before you head to the airport, you might want to check the status of
the airline and city that you're in, better to know if there are any
delays before you get there.

Finally, before you board the plane, you want to make sure that you
check out the Seat Guru to pick the best possible seat - nothing's
worse than arriving at your seat only to find that you're in an exit
row and your seat doesn't recline!

Epinions - It's a wonderful resource for whatever you are wanting to
purchase. Reviews from other consumers on the purchases they've made.
What they loved and hated about their appliance, electronics,
apparel, books etc.

Amazon Reviews - This is a great resource as well, as long as you
actually read the reviews and don't depend on just the star system.
I've found that many people review the company they purchased the item
from rather than the item itself.

Planetfeedback - I find it more helpful when I am checking out a
company and want to know if they are on the up and up. I look here to
see if there are a lot of negative reviews or any positive ones.

I'm totally biased so I can't say PFB, but here are some others:

CRAIGS LIST: An invaluable resource no matter how you cut it. Easy
to use interface; not in your face. Tons of useful content. Very
consumer-centric.

CONSUMER REPORTS: Invaluable resource. Superb review process. Legacy
brand with a superb reputation. Highly objective. Not all content
available free online which creates some "barriers" of access.

URBANBABY: A great overall resource for parents, and this extends into
shopper/buyer tips, and the like. Message boards are very popular.

AMAZON REVIEWS: Even the obscure products have a review from someone.
Usually very helpful. Need to stay on guard for "shills" but overall
very helpful.
