you know before I hated waiting in line until I went to Six Flags
great america and noahs ark waterpark. In sf I waited about 2 hours in
one like for a 6 minute ride. 30 minutes for a small normal ride. Big
ass line for the bathroom. Big big lines for water rides. After that
20 minutes in line seemed like nothing. So in the summer go and buy a
ticket for your closest six flags or waterpark.

Now.. I worked at a Walgreen's... theres one main cashier.. one
employee in cosmetics.. usually one person for backup.. and a photo
tech. and an assistant manager on duty for the front end. The pharmacy
is pretty much on its own. WHY should they give YOU a "cerifikit"for
waiting in line? Gosh that was hard to spell even with looking right
at it. Just for this letter.. Go to Walmart and go to their "speedy
checkout" lanes.. I bet you'll be standing there for 20 minutes.

I have a sneaky suspicion Sandy is a lot more savvy than people are
giving her credit for...but I'm sure she knows that even though this
got her to the top twenty...it's not going to get her anywhere in her
attempt to get more lines open or gift certificates for waiting in
line.

I don't know if it is different in other places, but in Ohio, there
are only typically 2 in the ENTIRE store (There might be a register at
the fragrance counter, but I rarely see anyone over there). So how
can they open more registers than that?

& where is your WalGreen's that it is SO busy? Even the one that is a
block from our local hospital isn't THAT busy!

No offense Sandy, but the whole concept of asking for a $5 gift
certificate if you have to wait more than 5 minutes is kind of silly.

...understand that Sandy has only a 7th grade education (and, at that,
it might not have been the best). She dropped out of school because
she was pregnant (if it was 7th grade, I'm assuming 12 or 13 years
old).

But for the grace of God, go I...

Hmm, that's interesting. Can you think of any other stores that offer
customers money for waiting in line?

If you could give some other examples of stores where they've had
success with that sort of deal, it would make your suggestion a lot
better.

Hey all - don't miss the forest for the trees.

Sandy:

You're right. No one likes waiting in line. Certain stores I
frequent have a policy that if there are more than X number of people
in line, they will open another register. I don't know if Walgreens
is one of them. Maybe you could suggest this to the manager next time
you're there.

I don't know what times you shop, but if it's during a shift change or
the busiest part of the day, you may experience longer lines. Perhaps
you should try other times, maybe that will help with the wait time.

Finally, it has not escaped my noticed that your writing skills are
not as developed as they could be. It may be that you are able to get
your point across better through face to face interaction or via
telephone.

Good luck, Sandy.

This has to be an attempt to irritate the posters and get everyone all
riled up. It has everything that is hated on this site from poor
grammer, spelling, and form to...what's that
word....goobersmooching??

Yea I amdit I'm not a very good speller maybe they, could get a
spellchecker installed on this like, on many other web pages but the
fact remaines, that Walgreen's is slow and they need to open more
registers! i Mean doesn't that bug you two?

Type it out in a program that has spell check. Don't most email's have
spell check?

Reply

by RedheadWGlasses Posted Thu November 2, 2006 @ 8:49 AM

I was being depressed. Spellchecker is the least of your worries if
this is how you compose a "business" letter. For example, the last
word in your post to which I'm responding is "two." It should be
"too." Those darn homonyms...

So not only are your letters written horribly, you look foolish when
you make ridiculous demands.
