Complaint to PlanetFeedback MONSTERS!!

Posted Sun November 5, 2006 4:26 pm, by Someone H. written to PlanetFeedback Forums

Write a Letter to this Company

I have been at first very happy to have seen such a site as Planet Feedback come to life. Then as time passed by I saw only complaints with almost no reply whatsoever from the vendors whom others complain about!?

Preplexed, I thought: Why??

In the "comments" I saw the answer. The BRUTAL, NON-ETHICAL, HARMFUL, SHOWOFF people making VERY VERY VERY BAD and NON-SENSITIVE COMMENTS explains it all: This site is a "disgrace" thanks to its "people" who know nothing about "good treatment".

Actually, I just want to say to all those MONSTERS jumping and judging everyone who is frustrated by an experience, STOP it and go to a "psychiatrist", you are ILL INSIDE!!

STOP MAKING THIS SITE AN IRRESPECTABLE PLACE, ACTUALLY: GO TO ....

STOP IT :)

FOR ALL THOSE innocent PEOPLE WHO CAME HERE.. MY HEART :) I KNOW THE MINUTE YOU SEE THOSE MONSTERS YOU WILL STOP COMING :)))

HAVE A NICE DAY :)

Challenge to ALL: If you and PlanetFeedback really belive in what you do, then LEAVE this message for HONEST comment (if you don't, I am thinking of creating a planetfeedbackSUCKS.com and posting all that SUCKS from the COMMENTS by its users on).

Bye :) Have a nice day once again :)

I agree with you on this. When Planetfeedback first started I had
heard about it and was grateful to have this site for being able to
get my opinion to the right place without having to start at the
bottom. Now after years of not using it I came to it thinking about
putting in a comment on an employee I saw go out of there way to help
someone. Now I see it has become a place for people to judge and vent
so I will send a note to the business, probably be faster and that way
the employee gets to see that there are people that notice the good
things and not just the bad.

I'm with you!!

Before PF changed their site around I had responded to a woman who
had a problem with one of the top companies carrying a certain brand
of something and everyone pounced on her. These people were so hateful
to her and I in her defense wrote saying that we are all enititled to
like or dislike what ever we want to and she didn't deserve such
hostility and guess what? They in turn then pounced on me.I didn't
disclose whether I was pro-God or against but that I had been raised
with some integrity and taught better.PF finally e-mailed me
personally and told me that their site was not a place to discuss my
religoius beliefs(I thought it was place to discuss whatever people
wanted, providing it was in good taste)they really told me I could'nt
discuss that and removed my letters but left the mean ones, even ones
with profanity!

The majority of the people that attack dissatisfied consumers truly
have nothing better to do or they're the playground bullies we all
knew as kids.Sadly, alot of these folks have kids and they are rasing
them to act just like them. You can be sure when things don't go their
way, they do just like the rest of us they just won't admit to it.
The way I see,we're all on the same side as consumers and should be
able to expect a quality product for our hard-earned but money but
then bullies always like to kick others when they're down.
The fact that they can find joy in making others feel bad speaks
volumes about what those people are really like.
Life is way too short to burden myself with the small injustices so I
have learned to let it go and carry on the way I know is right. You can
believe I'll get pounced on for this but I am past the point of
caring. My family recently went through a murder/suicide and it truly
did change the way I saw things.I do realize how short life is and
when I treat people badly I feel bad, that alone is reason for me not
to do it.
Thanks for taking the time to post your letter,I appreciate you and I
agree with you.
Peace to all.

i am a critical customer and live in the worst state for customer
service.(florida) however, anytime i have an issue and bring it up to
the right person it gets taken care of. most of the complaints on this
web site are so stupid and you can tell that the people writing them
are just looking for handouts. i'm sure alot of the complaints end up
here because they try to complain to a manager or whatever and the
business knows how bogus they really are, so they don't give a sh@#
about their complaint. As for letting people know, so it doesn't
happen to them. If i see a complaint about a Walmart, i probably am
not going to quit shopping there. i am here to help too though. I'm
here to try to get people to see, how stupid they really are. In my
opinion the people that do this are actually the smart ones, the ones
that are clearly better parents, clearly have better moral values,
clearly respect people more, and so on and so fourth. so you people
that write in with these crazy complaints, trying to get something for
free, keep it up. i will be more than happy to read and see how much
better than you, i really am.

For this letter to really work, you need some more colons, a few

that PFB is funded by Microsoft.

Good job though!

I just want to point this out even though I dont really want to keep
this in the top 20 any longer that it has to be.

But...if anyone were to go through the letters OTHER than the 15
Minutes Of Fame or the Top 20 you will find plenty of calm, rational,
respectful responses. I have spent the last couple of hours going
through the pull down menu and checking out letters in lots of other
forums and I found few, if any, rude or over the top responses to the
letters. And those responding to those letters are all "regulars".
There are many...MANY commentator's names you will see on the Top 20
or 15 MOF letters that you will not see on most of the letters other
places.

I think that should tell you something. But I wont make any judgements
about it. Draw your own conclusions. I have already made my own.

I agree, and have posted similar letters myself!! Unfortunately the
effectiveness of this website has been greatly reduced due to some of
these people that ALWAYS feel the need to respond to EVERY letter and
it is ALWAYS negative!!!!! I am not sure why people feel the need to
be so nasy and not be ablw to provide constructive responses!!! That
is why I choose not to make any of my letters, whether a compliment or
a complaint, public. Because no matter WHAT you write this group of
people, and they all know who they are, and every one else knows
because you can click on ANY post here and guaranteed they have
responded negatively.

The goal of PlanetFeedback..... by Sava Wed November 8, 2006 @ 11:49 PM

by Mike R. Posted Tue November 7, 2006 @ 3:24 PM

I, more than anyone, should be commenting on the quality of this
letter. I would agree that it is very poorly written.

I am surprised by everyone not willing to sincerely address the OP's
content. Everyone here, me included, could be the subject of the OP's
complaint.

A question was posted to us recently by the management of
Planetfeedback. That question was simple enough, "How Do We Drive
Traffic To PlanetFeedback?" That question is somewhat filled with
irony because it doesn't seem the community is willing to retain the
traffic once it is here.

Look, if a person makes their way to Planetfeedback to post a letter,
without merit, I don't believe it is wrong to constructively criticize
the writer with an explanation as to why. If people think this should
become a warehouse for letters to get freebees that demotes the use of
the site. I have also believed this to be a good platform for showing
people better letter writing skills. So many letters I've read are
put together without forethought and, dare I say, haphazardly. The
writers never seem to proofread their own work and then send the
letter off expecting a positive response. This should be a forum for
helping legitimate posters obtain a positive response.

I'm not sure what the OP's complaint stems from. If a poster doesn't
want to be critiqued, then I would think this is not the proper forum
for them. However, I have started to see a larger group of people,
the management of Planetfeedback included, use improper, if not vulgar
language within their posts. There is a definite difference between
trying to offer constructive criticism and calling someone a "dick" or
"coward". What about using the terms "cry-baby" or "pissing" to
describe someone? This is where you've way overstretched the term
constructive and dove directly into vulgar name-calling. If I, for
one, can take some of the responsibility for the OP's frustration, I
would hope others would as well. Either management and their friends
need to publicly take responsibility for what they are doing to this
site or the site won't manage to survive.

Is it just me or is this just humorous? And I thought sandy had
trouble with grammar...Apparently there was the second coming of
Curious George here as well.....Well OP good luck with that, if it
takes all this attention to get you off then were not the ones who are
monsters. Wasting your life over something so trivial is a debacle of
common courtesy toward others. Provide me with some proof of your sad
situation, show me the facts, please give me something, anything at

How brave of you to post such a nonsense letter without adding your

Screaming, unsubstantiated attacks, bad grammar, and a sticky Capslock
all in one letter; this is either a troll or the world's longest
straight line.

Constructive comments: please proofead future letters for spelling and
grammar mistakes. Please leave your capslock at home. Please bonk the
troll over the head and steal his gold; maybe if he finds out how
tough the neighborhood is he'll go home.

Thank you.

Yes, I agree that alot of commenters here like to tear letter writers
apart for their grammar/spelling/etc and hardly focus on the issue,
when there is sometimes a very valid complaint to discuss. However,
writing LIKE THIS is a good way to draw such commenters to make fun of
you instead of help. I think that PFB should bring back the mods that
used to be here unless they want their site to become a mockery of
customer service.

But TALKING like THIS is NO WAY TO GET THE ATTENTION THE MATTER
DESERVES :):):):):)

What did you say? Did you say there will be a monster at the end of
this post?? You did? Oh I am so scared of monsters!!!

Shhh, listen, I have an idea. If you do not keep reading this post, we
will never get to the end of this post. And that is good, because
there is a monster at the end of this post. So please do not read any
further.

You're still reading!!! Maybe you do not understand. You see, reading
this post will bring us to the end of this post, and there is a
monster at the end of this post . . . but this will stop you from
scrolling down and reading any further. See? I am tying the scroll bar
down so you cannot.

You still scrolled down!!! You're still reading!!! You do not know
what you are doing to me! Now . . . stop scrolling down!!!

There! I, Homie Erik, am nailing your mouse to the mouse pad so that
you will not be able to use it, and we will not get any closer to the
monster at the end of this post.

All right! All right! All right! Do you know that every time you keep
reading this post . . . you not only get us closer to the monster at
the end of this post, but you make a terrible mess!

This will stop you from scrolling down any further. A heavy, thick,
solid, strong brick wall. I would just like to see you try to keep
reading now.

Do you know that you are very strong?

The next paragraph is the end of this post, and there is a monster at
the end of this post. Oh, I am so scared! Please do not keep reading.
Please, please, please.

Well look at that! This is the end of the post, and the only one here
is . . . me. I, lovable, furry old Erik, am the monster at the end of
this post. And you were so scared! I told you and told you there was
nothing to be afraid of.

Oh, I am so embarrassed ...

Not reading anyones comment b4 I post...
Comments on letter should not reflect whether a company responds. The
only way for a company to see the comments, is to research it. I even
had a company comment one of my letters.

On another note, your letter to the PFB commenters is extremely hard
to understand with all the jumping from CAPS to lowercase, and
excessive parantheses and quotations.

Also, making up words (Ex. IRRESPECTABLE) doesn't help anything.

Also, the condescending smilies don't help your cause, and BEG for
people to jump on them.

I saw your letter.

Perplexed, I thought: why?

Then I decided I didn't really care why. This is kind of hilarious.
I'm just going to enjoy it.

There's really no way for me to comment on the substance of this post
without making NON-SENSITIVE COMMENTS and I'm already kind of making
fun of the style, so let me just say: HAVE A NICE DAY.

Oh, and: ME WANT COOKIE! C is for cookie, that's good enough for

Disclosure: I'm known here for being critical, but...

This letter (from "Someone H.") screams "pay attention to me" and
"troll." It's not written in a way to achieve improvement to the
site, but as a way to ridicule. And it makes little sense.

Someone, if you want to make these points, there are better ways to
make them. Until then, your letter is not going to be taken
seriously.

So, slow down. Think about what the problem really is. Think of a
reasonable solution. Then, post in a polite way. Include links to
examples, although don't make the broad statement that these few
examples prove the point. Examples never prove anything.

Don't make your letter look like a tantrum. Skip the smiley abuse.
Skip the overuse of capital letters. Don't make threats.

Good comments, Jeffrey, and I'd like to add... by Tina Newman Mon November 6, 2006 @ 11:09 AM

by tickytack Posted Mon November 6, 2006 @ 10:23 AM

Our comments have absolutely nothing with respect to vendors'
responses - they don't see them. Further, I would love to know your
source of information that vendors never respond.

I'm guessing you wrote a troll letter, got negative feedback here and
no response from a vendor.

You're blaming the wrong people.

Oh, and if you're going to write a letter accusing others of being
"monsters" (a bit dramatic, are we?) you might want to try being more
polite. If this pap is a representative sample of other letters
you've written, it is hardly difficult to understand why you received
no regard for them.

by Tina Newman Posted Mon November 6, 2006 @ 9:47 AM

First... Vendors, aka companies, NEVER reply here. The shared letters
here are for people to see that they are not alone in their
dissatisfaction.
Second.. it's UNethical, not "non", UNsensitive, not "non".
Third, what is with the smileys???

And last... Do yo realize that YOU are now one of the "monsters"?
Planetfeedback doesn't suck, it's a great site. It accomplishes what
it sets out to do... The companies get the complaints, compliments,
and questions that the consumers send. The comments to the letters
aren't seen by the companies...
~~sigh~~ why bother, you'll never get it anywyay.

I love irony:

"Actually, I just want to say to all those MONSTERS jumping and
judging everyone who is frustrated by an experience, STOP it and go to
a "psychiatrist", you are ILL INSIDE!!"

Apparently it's okay for this OP to level personal attacks, call
people names and lump EVERYONE who comments on letters into the same
category.

Pot. Kettle. Black.

As an aside (and perhaps I am misreading your complaint), I have
posted complaints and compliments to various companies via PFB. I
have received responses to many of them. Privately. Some I shared
with the PFB audience, others I did not. But the lack of a public
response is not necessarily indicative that no response.

I would suggest, to you, that the best way to make PFB a better place
is to contribute to it. I apologize, but I don't recall seeing
comments from you in the past. Perhaps what you need to open up a
blog, comment more and lead my example.

And for the record, I am not a monster. Just FYI.

I just wanted to point out that despite the fact that I am completely
covered in yellow fur, I am still no monster.

I also have to admit, that's the most smiley faces included in a
complaint letter that I've ever seen. Kudos, Mr. Smiley Man! :)

Oh. My. God. This is never going to go away.

Just out of curiosity if your beef is with the commenters and not with
the site itself then why would you create a hate site which would only
serve to further tarnish the reputation which, as I gather from this
extremely poor written letter, you are trying to protect?

Reply

by RedheadWGlasses Posted Sun November 5, 2006 @ 11:41 PM

My psychic abilities tell me this is going to enter the top 20 and
linger at the top for far too long.

Aside from that, unless you can provide a specific example (even
provide just the URL), there is no point to this complaint because the
PTB at PFB have no way of gauging the accuracy of your complaint.
What if you're talking about one of the totally off-balance letters
that makes an unfounded complaint? Or the letters that get posted
here that are nearly unreadable and make no sense whatsoever?

I agree that some of the comments do go too far and are not called
for, I have seen these myself. Some people comment just to keep
things going.

May I ask, what does 'IRRESPECTABLE' mean. I couldn't find the
meaning anywhere. Did you happen to mean 'UNRESPECTABLE' which means:
adj 1: unworthy of respect [ant: respectable] 2: not worthy of
respect.
