I would like to let you know that I was logged into your site www.walmart.com by 5:03am EST with the DVD player I desired and the MP3 player I desired both in my cart for while for over forty minutes I TRIED to check out first losing the DVD player because it became out of stock and then after selecting another portable DVD player simply being unable to check out ... I could continue shopping but I could not check out and finally received this message.

Walmart.com is temporarily unavailable while we make important upgrades to our site. We appreciate your patience and invite you to return soon.

I spend a GREAT DEAL of money at Walmart during the course of the year and even more during the Christmas last year I even shopped online and had no problems as the world's largest retailer there should be NO Problems with your website.

Resolve the situation with their webservers. It's simply awful when you offer a website that doesn't work...especially when you are a multi-billion dollar corporation.

I guess next year you'll have to go wait outside the store at 3 a.m.
or earlier with the rest of the Black Friday diehards! :)

...you won the lottery of bad timing. The site was only down
temporarily according to news reports.

You wouldn't happen to know today's Powerball numbers, would you?

More than likely there were just too many people trying to purchase at
the same time and the site just did not have the bandwidth to handle
it. Unfortunately, it is just not cost effective to purchase
additional bandwidth to handle excess volume on just a couple of sale
days.
