Nintendo Wii availability/ customer service

Write a Letter to this Company

I realize this has happened to a lot of people recently, but my son went to Gamestop after being told they would have at least five Nintendo Wii consoles on Fri. He showed up at 3:00 a.m. and waited for the store to open at 5:00 a.m., and was the third in line. They ended up only having three, and decided to split the customers into 2 lines. He was put behind the second customer, meanwhile, another lady came into the store behind him and got the third one. I feel like this is terrible customer service after he waited all that time! I called the store and was told there was nothing they could do and were basically too busy to deal with me. A general manager at another store was going to "look into it", but it might take a while to get back to me.

Give my son any trade-in money that he has on account there so that he can just buy the Wii somewhere else.

I shouldn't worry too much, it's a crap shop with crap staff, and i'm
quite sure by Christmas 2007 all employees will be pounding the
pavements looking for work, but will be unsuccessful as a result of
their previous employers approach to the common man on the street.
long live GAME and death to their inferiors!!!

The problem here isn't that they only had 3. The problem is that her
son was 3rd in line, and then the store changed the lines and
basically screwed him out of his place in line.

No, based upon the fact that you're son was trying to purchase a
limited availability item, knowing there were no guarantees as to
availability, I would say this is just another unfounded complaint.

Word on the street, though, is that more will be available soon. Good
luck.

your plights -- if described accurately -- is a bit tragic. Yes, you
wasted your time and you have a right to be angry. That they only had
three is something they should have painted on the cold pavement
before you braved the wait outside. I will consult the powers that be
at PlanetFeedback about sending a special protest letter to Gamestop.

Faith in shopping.

I imagine Gamestop thought they would have more than they actually
got, so I'm inclined to give them a pass on that part of your
complaint, but you are right that if they had three and they had a
line the first three people in line should have gotten them.

I hope your son gets his hands on one soon.
