Lousy customer service at kohls.com

Posted Thu December 28, 2006 2:37 pm, by Bonzai B. written to Kohls Food Stores Inc

Write a Letter to this Company

I ordered some earrings from kohls.com right before christmas and the order went through and my credit card was billed. I ordered a particular type of earring that came in two different sizes and styles, yet were identical in name. When I noticed the word "small", on my shipment confirmation I contacted kohls customer service to inquire whether they had just mistakenly sent me out the wrong earrings. Well I recieved an e-mail back from them claiming that they had sent out the correct earrings. But when I got the earrings I found out I was right in my assumption. These idiots sent me out the wrong earrings, and sent me the cheaper version. This is after they charged me for the more expensive ones that I did order. Well I fired off an angry e-mail, and they did not appologize for their mistake, and I had to return the earrings to a nearby kohls store and get screwed out of a refund on shipping, because I was done with these clowns. They were unwilling to send me out the right earrings before I sent them back the incorrect pair. This pissed me off because they had no problem charging my credit card and cheating me, yet I am not to be trusted in returning merchandise?

Improve your customer service, and when you screw up an order, you better send it out ASAP, regardless of whether or not the person has sent back your wrong shipment.

"These idiots"

"get screwed"

"these clowns"

"pissed me off"

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it whenever I read a letter
that uses profanity, insults, and emotion - it makes you look petty
and uneducated. I realize that you are angry, but there is no need to
insult people...

Haven't you ever heard that you'll catch more flies with honey than
with vinegar?

You tried to anticipate that they would send you the wrong item. Then
they did. I have had that happen, and it is very discouraging. But
you completely lost it.

You sound as though you acted in a completely inappropriate manner.
"I fired off an angry e-mail." You TOLD THEM, didn't you?

If I worked in customer service and someone came along with an
attitude and language like yours, I would do my level best to make
your life as difficult as possible without losing my job.

...if I were in customer service on the other end of this deal - I too
would have not made it easy on you because you "fired off an angry
email" and you insulted them. Maybe if you would've came at the issue
with a different approach, they may have handled it differently. But
in essence, you told them how to treat you by your reaction.

Nothing you post in response to anyone, ever makes sense or is helpful
in any way, therefore you are nothing more than a loser and a troll.
Newsflash loser, consumer fraud is a crime!

While it sounds like you have a valid complaint, using words like
'clowns', 'idiots' and 'pissed off' does nothing for your claim.

This is a business letter and should be written as such.
