Unhappy With Verizon's Service

Posted Wed January 3, 2007 12:00 pm, by Anthony B. written to Verizon Wireless (Cell Phones)

Write a Letter to this Company  |  Rate this Company

On Jauary 1, 2007 I visited the Verizon Wireless store at Welligton Green in he village of Wellington to change my area code and number due to my residence move. The gentlemen at the store advised me I would save $15.00 by calligthe customer service center directly and gracioualy offered me an outgoing phone line and dialed the number.

I spent approximately 20 minuts on the phone with the representative; being put on hold several times. Finally, she came bakc and advisedme that she have changed my area code from 786 to 561 and that I would also be ableto keep my original number. I thought great...less to remember.

Today is January 3, 2007 and I just got off the phone with another Verizon Wireless customer service representative to inquire as to why my hone is still registering my old area code. She advised that there was no such data in my history file for any such action and furthermore, that I would never be able to keep my same number. So a trip to the mall, at least 30 minutes of my time - wasted, gas, my wifes time - wasted and all for the glory of the total ineptes and lying splendor of Verizon Wireless idiots who could give a damn if you like your service, or if you actually received what you paid for because "We have over 40 million customers and if you cancel your service, we'll still charge you $175.00 for all the line you deactivate".

Talk aobut pissed off!

Who is at the head of Verizon Wireless so I can rip them a new ass for being treated like crap.

I want 3 months of free service and there after I want 1500 minutes (my current plan) for 70.00 a month; the three additional lines and every other option available FREE for the life of my existing contract. Or I will be cancelling my account and after I cotact my State Senator, trust me I will not be paying anyone any cancellation fees!

Step up to the plate Verizon and show me you have the intergrity to do right by your customers, or I start makig ohone calls to D.C.!!

Verizon tried to call you to discuss this issue personally, but
apparently, your area code has changed. Do you know the new one?

"Who is at the head of Verizon Wireless so I can rip them a new ass
for being treated like crap."

This is the sort of response you make in your private
journal/blog/whatever, not an actual letter to a company. It's
immature and unprofessional. They'll take one look at it, laugh at
you heartily, and throw it in the trash can along with thousands of
other ranty, threatening letters.

I guarantee you no one will care about you because you talk and act
like a spoiled child.

If you do not pay them the money you owe, they will take you to
collections. Verizon Wireless will get money out of you one way or
another, and you're better off handling this like an adult and not
ruining your credit.

Calm down and re-write this like a civilized human being.

What is your STATE senator doing in DC? You want all those freebies
for the life of your existing contract? News flash! Contract won't
last too long. They'll cancel your service. Another news flash:
You'll pay all you owe or they'll send you to collections. Have fun
trying to straighten out your credit after that.

Last tip: Invest in a good dictionary.

Gee I think you'd do much better using PFB's letter writing service
(hint hint)...professional companies rarely respond to vulgarity and
misuse of the written word (I know, spelling isn't one of my forte's
either).

So perhaps a redo, sticking to the facts and leaving the head of
verizon's nether regions out of the letter would get better results.

I'm sure they'll be more than happy to put aside all the problems
going on overseas, just so they can take care you're problem with
Verizon.

Grow up, get over yourself, & get some professional help. You have
serious anger management issues, not to mention some serious
entitlement issues.

With this awful letter (horrible spelling, cussing, insults, etc.), I
don't see Verizon jumping to help you any time soon.

Oh no, you're going to contact the senator! I bet Verizon is really
scared now! Seriously, lighten up. It sucks, but you know what?
Life does suck. Get over it. And learn how to spell simple words
like "contact", "about" "making" and "phone". Not to mention every
other thing wrong with this letter.

Anthony,

This letter is a perfect example of why you should never write
correspondence like this when you are angry.

I'm sure now that you are calmer you realize that profanity and
threats to rip someone a new one or, worse yet, to "DC" do nothing to
promote your point of view.

It doesn't matter what connections you think you have, threatening to
use them really turns folks off and will get your letter tossed. All
it does it make a person look arrogant.

You may or may not have valid complaints, but you need to re-write
this letter in a calm and professional manner before anyone will hear
you.

Totally, totally inappropriate business letter. How old are you?
Sheesh.

And trust me... your senator has better things to do than to go to bat
with Verizon for you.

I expected this letter to be a lot more interesting than it is. So
all my effort link-clicking was wasted, as was my time and my dog's
time since he couldn't go out to pee until I got off the computer.

I want 3 letters a week from now until the end of the universe, all of
them raising interesting questions and attracting the attention of PFB
members whose comments I enjoy reading. Otherwise I will be calling
the President; trust me, he'll be showing up at your house with a
backdrop that says "Entertain Cal M" all over it to deliver a personal
speech to you about what an awesome person I am!!

The first rep messed up. It's annoying, but it happens. Vent about
it, get your area code changed, learn your new phone number, and then
put it out of your mind and use the extra time you would have spent
bitching to Verizon to take your wife out to a restaurant she's always
wanted to try.

Believe me, it'll be a lot more pleasant for both of you than having
your state senator try to keep your vote while telling you "no".

by natalie t Posted Thu January 4, 2007 @ 1:02 PM

ok do this with me:
Inhale through your nose( nice deep breath)
exhale through your mouth
nice and slow
repeat 5 times

now I want you to repeat after me:
I am human, you are human
we all make mistakes!
repeat 5 times

now that we have calmed you down, and possibly saved you from having a
heart attack or stroke, we can procede.
It was a mistake, I can see why you would be angry, but it seems as
though you are full of rage and have an underlying issue that results
in this type of behavior. You are not entitled to all that you are
demanding. At most just your number changed for free.

If you would drop all the rude words in your letter you have a valid
complaint. I don't think you are going to get all that you ask for nor
do I think you deserve it for "wasting" 30 minutes of your time. This
letter will probably hit the circular file fairly quickly.

1. Breathe
2. Spell check
3. Pissed off probably isn't the best term to use when trying to be
professional
4. Never demand compensation.

Just some ideas for you. Best of luck in life!

Three months service, 1500 minutes for $70 and every option
free...yeah right! Your state senator could care less about your
wireless problems.

Calling Verizon's employees idiots and wanting to rip someone a new
ass is not going to win you any brownie points. It's a sure way to
get this letter tossed.

Color me impressed. Your education level, displayed within the use of
vulgarities, seems to be less than a high school graduate.

As such, I wouldn't plan on receiving any form of positive response
from the provider, if any response at all.

As for paying for cancellation fees, if you are under contract, you'll
eventually pay them. They are legal and will not be removed from your
credit report until you do. As such, other providers will not touch
you, unless they gouge you will higher costs. You'll further be
declined on other forms of credit, creating more issues than you are
currently aware.

Your further request for freebees is atrocious. All I can tell you is
that they, like other people reading your letter, will just shake
their heads and transfer your account to collections.

Your state senator is going to tell you he can't do anything about
their business terms. What "glory" did anyone get? Why can't you
keep the number?
You're not going to get anything. Vulgar language is not respected
and if you talk filth, you'll be treated that way.
