Maybelline Superstay lip color stays put!

I don't wear lipstick.
In fact, I hate lipstick. It always come off on everything ~ napkins, soda cans, teeth.
Yet I bought a tube of the new Maybelline Superstay lip color in Cinnamon on a whim. I am a cynical shopper - I didn't think it would really stay on that well and if it did, it would make my lips look and feel dry.
I was so wrong.
I wore it last night out to dinner and was amazed. Not only was it a beautiful color with an incredible shine, but it wore the whole night. I kissed my friend on the cheek and he wasn't wearing it (trust me, he checked) and it didn't rub off on either my wine glass, cutlery or my napkin. Plus I loved the lip gloss half of the tube so I could make sure my lips didn't dry out.
Thanks for such a great product.

Lipstick is a hard one because the right shade is COMPLETELY dependent on your skin tone. In Maybelline, it looks like Blossom, Heather, Cabernet and Wildeberry are common enough that someone would be able wear them. In Revlon, I'd say Ongoing Flame, Ultimate Wine and Berry Reliable, but again, lipsticks are SO tricky. You'd be safer with eye colors. Urban Decay is a VERY popular brand but as with Revlon and Maybelline, the price shows it. Cover Girl actually has some great stuff out, they just brought out sets of eyeshadows specifically for different color eyes and they're really awesome. Blush can be good if you get a color that will work for a lot of people. Nutregena has one that is a multide of different colrs so it gives you a good glow. Am I boring you? :P Can you tell I spend WAY too much on makeup? :P All in all though if you're going ot be buying a lot, Jane or Wet and Wild will give you the best bang for your buck.

Thanks for taking the time to fire up your computer and actually write a compliment! These letters are very helpful because with all the cosmetics on the market these days, it's very difficult to decide what to try. Based on your glowing review, this product is now on my weekend shopping list!

I've never tried any of the "stay put" lipsticks, but I was always afraid to because I thought they would be drying and uncomfortable.
Based on your glowing review, I might have to go pick up a tube just to try it.
Thanks for getting a POSITIVE letter into the Top 20!

I use it, too, and you're absolutely correct.
Just as an FYI, Revlon Colorstay is excellent as well. Actually, it's even better.
