its really hard to read run-on sentences in all lowercase letters as it is also hard to understand what you are trying to say when you use words such as "like" and don't use spell-check
Just a suggestion - if you want a company to take you seriously, try using proper English, grammer, and avoid spelling mistakes and slag words at all costs.

Hey, I'm glad to see that you finally completed that PHD in English Literature. When do you start teaching at Yale? I know that has been your dream for a very long time. I also have a favor to ask. My niece is considering a career as a writer. She wants to write books about the restaurant industry. For a fee would you consider coaching her? I only want the best for her and I'm willing to pay any amount of money to not only make her happy but give her the best possible competitve edge avaialble and I think that would be you?
What do you think? Are you up for it?
Thanks!

I agree with the previous poster. If you are dissatisfied with food or service (or both, in your case), you should ALWAYS talk to the manager before you leave; better yet, while you're still at the table.
I'm not going to jump on you about the spelling, grammar, and punctuation, but feel that I should point out that a professional message will usually be taken much more seriously and with better results. If you're not sure, have someone take a few seconds to read it over, and offer suggestions, most of which you might want to take.

If your meal was anything like your letter, then I agree, not real good.
If you chose not to take care of this while at the restaurant, then its too bad for you. You ate the food, paid the bill and left. Sorry, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that refund.

If you post a letter here, you are giving freewill to all who see. I merely choose to assist this person with her writting skills. I do not intend to make fun of someone, as anyone of us could have not had the proper grasp of correct writting skills. Plain and simple, when you write a letter here, you are hoping it reached companies. With this in mind, you must write a business style letter as if you were writting from home on paper with pen/pencil.
People need to be more aware that these letters are not for Joe Shmoe down the road (no offense to anyone named Joe or Shmoe).
This may have been a hoax of a letter, but no one knows this 100% except for the OP.

You people are so helpful.
Instead of trying to give thoughtful help that could bring an end to her problem. You make this personal.
Is this what you learn in your liberal institutes of higher learning? I'm sure proud, of where my tax dollars are going.
Jamesa, you and your husband should have told your server that you were not only unhappy with the food, but also the service. If she didn't deal with the problem, ask to talk to the manager and leave NO TIP!
Best luck!

Jamesa,
If you take time to type a letter to a business, take time to type the letter correctly.
My husband and I went out to eat last night at your restaurant in Waldord, MD on 1-23-07. We did not have very good service. Our female server seemed angry that we were sitting at her table. When out food came it was cool and my steak was dry.
I want all my money back.
At least they would take you 1/2 way serious. Also, you do not mention speaking to the manager about your server. You do not mention the amount of money you spent.

In case anyone is thinking that this is the Austrian-themed "Outback," it's not. It's "Out Back."
Instead of Awesome Blossoms to dip in a creamy sauce, they let you scavenge in trash cans for onion peels.
No "Chocolate Thunder from Down Under." Instead, they let you dig for grubs and worms in the dirt. All you can eat, though.
Outback's motto "No Rules, Just Right" is replaced with "Dumpster Pickup at 7:45."
No 'roos here. Just a bunch of mangy mixed-breed dogs, including one with just 3 legs and only one eye.
The kid's menu isn't the "Joey" menu. It's the "Not quite sure who the baby-daddy is" menu.
Out Back. When we say our servers are "girls," we mean prepubescent.

"my food was not real good"
Your spelling and grammar are not real good either.
"restrunt"? What's that? A sleeping baby?
What is "servace" and what are "tabels"?
And what difference does it make if your server was a boy or a girl?

How do you know your server was a girl - did you check under the apron?
I can understand her unhappiness with your sitting 'in her tabels'. First of all, customers generally stay at one *table* per visit. It must have upset her to come back to find you at different tables throughout the night.
Secondly, I'm sure she expected you to be sitting AT the table, not IN it - that made it very difficult for her to find a place to set down your plates, I'll bet!
Next time try a little harder to be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

But I'm going to do it here...now....
I believe the above written letter is the direct result of the way our students are being taught in Maryland. When I went to school here focus was very heavy in grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and great writing skills. Today, however, focus in Maryland has changed. Maryland public schools must meet particular guidelines set forth by the "No Child Left Behind Act" which focuses more on reading comprehension than grammar and spelling. Because of that curriculums have changed dramatically and gone are the days of fantastic spellers and writers.
How do I know this? I've experienced it first hand. About 2 months ago my oldest son (7th grade) brought home a paper from school graded with an "A". This paper was done for the class RLA (Reading and Language Arts) and had atrocious grammar (no capitalization, no punctuation, etc) and numerous misspelled words. I brought this "A" paper with me when I went to a conference shortly after seeing the paper. I asked the teacher outright how she could grade my son with an "A" when the paper looked like it did. I told her how horrible I thought the paper was. Her EXACT words to me were "With times being the way they are and most people using computer programs with spell, grammar, and sentence structure checks we don't focus any longer on spelling, grammar and sentence structure." I think the teacher sat there trying to figure out how to pry my jaw from the floor. I asked her "Are you serious?" She said because of what the student NEEDS to know in order to pass the state tests there is no time for spelling and grammar. The students MUST be efficient in reading comprehension, not spelling and grammar. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing so I went directly to the Guidance Counselor and Principal of the school and got the exact same story from them. Still in shock I emailed the board of education but got no response.
So, now I'm hit with this dilemma. The problem is that when my son is doing homework I can reinforce the proper use of grammar, sentence structure, and proper spelling. BUT this is NOT being reinforced in school and 90% of my son's work is done at school. So, 90% of his work is misspelled, horrible grammar, etc. I'm pretty much stuck. He knows how to do it because he knows I will be reading all of his homework papers and he makes sure to do it right. But when the grading quarter is over and all the class-work papers come home, they are all horribly written but given good grades. What can I do at that point? There is nothing I can do and I'm stuck attempting to teach my child without the support of the very place he is doing most of the work.
So, here you have the result of the newfound way of teaching in Maryland. I wonder if the excellent readers being produced by Maryland will even be able to read and comprehend this kind of writing. In a nutshell, perhaps it isn't the letter writer we should be condemning, perhaps it is the school systems.
JMHO and this whole issue REALLY burns me up! :o)
