I have always worn VS bras ever since I started wearing a bra. Until recently I have had problems with the wire popping out with the VERY SEXY bra. I do know how to wash them and that is always a question that gets asked when I try and return them. I am just getting so fet up with paying that kind of money on a bra and not getting much wear out of them. I have about 4 bras that I have spent about $50.00 a piece for and I can't wear them. I didn't have them long before the wire started popping out and it is just very aggravating. And try taking them back forget about it all of the sales associates are extremely rude and have no idea what they are doing and they refuse to do a return on the bras. I am sorry but I know how to take care of washing them and now the quality is just poor. I could probably get a better bra at Target or Walmart for a lot cheaper.
I think that the quality should be what it used to be and not what it is now. Or if they are going to keep the same quality at least make it easier to return the bras.

I purchased 3 body bras @ the traverse city mi store and tried to return them within a month of purchase and a bottle of rapture the 1.7 spray, the bras fell apart and the spray would not spray anymore. the girl at the counter told me they were old ( I dont think within a month that is old)I wash my bras by hand and hang them up to dry. At that time I only owed $20.00 and told the girl I refused to pay the 20. now they sent me a bill for $128.00 I payed $40.00 and refused to pay and more,I will never shop at victoria's again I have spent alot of money there and will never again ,I was so embaressed, on how rudely they treat you when you try an return things, but pleasant when you purchase, now I have 3 bras and a bottle of cologne I cannot use and a $90.00 bill. sincerly jeannette norton 7132 skegemog williamsburg,mi 49690

YOU KNOW MELISSA I THOUGHT A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS GOING THROUGH JUST WHAT YOU EXPLAINED THAT IT WAS PROBABLY ME! SINCE NO-ONE SEEMED TO HAVE THE COMPLAINTS I DID! I HAVE STOOPED SO LOW AS TO GO TO A FLEA MARKET THAT SELLS NEW BRAS HERE IN SAN ANTONIO,TEXAS.THEY ARE THE QUALITY OF TARGET AND THE PRICE OF FLEA MARKETS :)!!!! AT THIS AGE OF MY LIFE I FEEL I HAVE INVESTED ENOUGH MONEY INTO "UNDERGARMETS"; AND MY HUSBAND IS JUST AS HAPPY NOT TO HAVE TO GO INTO VS OR ANY OTHER SO CALLED EXPENSIVE STORE (I TRIED J.C.PENNEY FOR AWHILE) FOR SEXY BRAS AND PANTIES! TO BAD CUZ I REALLY LOVED THEM AND THE PERFUME THEY DUMPED FOR ANOTHER LINE OF SMELLY FLOWERS! I CRIED OVER THAT ONE!

You don't go into enough details Melissa, so let me try to explain some of the information that may help you.
First, Victoria's Secret really does make some of the best bras within the industry. However every lady is different. This refers to the non-subjective details such as cup size and chest measurement, but also the subjective issues such as amount of support.
Most ladies using underwire bras are more full chested; large B, C or D cup to be sure. As such, many ladies find it is helpful to have larger, padded shoulder straps and a shift of support to the back of the bra. This helps relieve the stress placed on the underwire support system. However, it also means dressing a little more conservative to not show such a underclothing support system.
At Victoria's Secret, you'll find what is referred to as the "Secret Seven" collection. This is a collection of seven different bra styles that most women cannot live without. With this collection, most women will find a bra to be used during the daytime for work, on the weekends for relaxation or in the evenings on the town.
Start with The Emma Collection, a Racerback full coverage bra I'm sure you may like. This bra is created with imported nylon and spandex. It has a full back support system, with front closures. The shoulders are full support and the front is full coverage.
This is, of course, only a suggestion. Getting a professional fitting is the best to determine the best bras for each body type. Either a lady or gentleman can give you this information. Some gentlemen are even better at this because they know better what a gentleman's eye prefers. If they are properly trained in a good support system, you can receive the necessary information which makes you both comfortable and attractive.
This is important, based upon your conserns, because you may very well be waring the wrong type of bra. You'd be surprised as to how many women misjudge this important part of their wardrobe. This can be very much why you are comparing Walmart with Victoria Secret products.
Washing is also equally important, as you have pointed out. Although you don't refer to the way you actually wash your bras. With only four bras, you would be washing them very frequently, as they should be cleaned after each full day of wearing. Hand wash only. Gentleness is the key. The underwire support system and material require this and without such, will wear quicker especially will how often each of your bras are being worn.
It is true that Victoria's Secret will generally not return most items, especially once they are worn. I think you can understand the difficulty in reselling such an item, unless you are asked to supply a photo and the item is sold on eBay (tongue in cheek).
Please consider a professional fitting and enlarging your selection of bras. Generally speaking, seven or more bras within your wardrobe should be considered normal.
I hope this helps a great deal.

I never buy multiples of a bra until I've bought one and worn it a few times to see how comfortable it is after wearing it all day.
Wouldn't you do the same for a $50 bra? I love Victoria's Secret underwear, stockings, pajamas, sweatshirts, leggings, and more, but they don't sell a bra that's worth $20, IMHO.

So tell me, why does my bra strap always slide off my shoulder, no matter how much I tighten it? I hate that, and it happens with every one of the things I own! :)

try a bra with a wider straps, such as the BBV IPEX Full Coverage or the Shaping Full Coverage. Or you can look for a bra that has fully adjustable straps, the type that will adjust right up to the cup. The Angels Collection has several. Finally, you can try a racerback style or a bra with straps that can criss-cross or hook together in the back.
