Dom Imus

My "African American" (He hates that term, he just calls himself
black) best friend in the universe (best man in his wedding), calls me
a "dumb white cracker" I call him my Me***-N****. Should we be fired
from our jobs? Should the next person that calls me a cracker get
fired from their job?

What I found rediculous, is Sharpton saying: "If I'd have said that,
I'd be fired". Bologna. Blacks can call me whatever the heck they
want at my job. They call my German acquaintence a "Nazi", and laugh
about it. Do they get touched? Nope.

It's all one big boo-hoo-crybaby hypocritical bunch of nonsense.
Until Sharpton stirred up the nest, no one was even paying attention.
And THAT is why racism will ALWAYS be a problem in the United States.
Because of racists like Sharpton.

Fire Don Imus? Sure. No problem with that. As long as you then fire
Howard Stern. Fire all the black rap artists from their labels.

Why not have a good old fashioned book burning while we are at it?

If we all are suposed to be Americans first. Then you should be more
upset with the fact that his producer Bernard McGurit called them all
"Hardcore hos". Maybe if he had not said this them maybe IMUS might
not of responded with that he said. Think about it. and as far as we
know the producer is still working. now that is really the unjustice.

Imus.... What Price should he pay?

Rev Al, perhaps you should cast the 1st stone, just as YOU did
regarding your comments of the Yale Soccer Team.
Rev Jessy, you the second stone... as your marriage vows meant
nothing, with your romp in the hay.

CBS.....How many must die for YOU to support "THE CONSTITUTION". You
decision was based solely on economics ! Nothing more Nothing Less !

I have listened to Imus once...didn't care for him then, and don't
care for him now. However as a Vietnam Veteran, I supported his rights
then, and I support his rights NOW!

Mr. Imus is a comedian - albeit a careless one. His comments were
wrong, but I think he said them off the cuff, trying to be funny.
Still, they were offensive - I'm not black, but I am a woman, and I
have been the brunt of sexist comments before. I try to remember that
the comments someone makes reflects on them, not on me. The comments
illuminate the shortcomings of the person speaking them; prove that
he/she is the person who is insecure, fearful, etc.

There are, it seems to me, large numbers of bigots and racists in our
country (and around the world) who do nothing but evil. Mr. Imus is
not guilty of that. He is guilty of believing that his only way of
appealing to the masses (audiences)is by reflecting their values -
which is what he has always done. This is what all politicians and
celebrities do - including those who happen to be black. Mssrs.
Sharpton and Jackson are so happy to be in the spotlight over this, it
almost makes me want to puke.
My empathy is directed toward the women of the Rutgers basketball
women. I was an athlete back in the 60's when women were not supposed
to "move." So, I am aware of the pain of stigma for just being who
you are.

I believe that Mr. Sharpton and Mr. Jackson should spend some time
looking deeply into their own images in a mirror - and if they can
honestly say that they have not committed similar sins, then I guess
they are entitled to throw stones. I don't believe that is true, as
I've hear them make hypocritical statements in the past, and Mr.
Jackson has renegged on his marriage vows.

I say, as Jesus did, let him who has not sinned cast the first stone.
None of the critics I've heard is worthy to do that toward Imus.

Since my last post (surprise, surprise) was deleted (the nerve that I
suggest that someone who is CONSTANTLY writing letters demanding
people get fired just may be a troll!), let me say that I totally
disagree with what this man said.

I also totally disagree with your constant demands for other people's
terminations.

Per CNN he has been suspended by MSNBC and CBS two weeks

And what slur did he allegedly use?
