GE supports the evil Ann Coulter!

Posted Tue April 17, 2007 1:06 am, by Mike H. written to General Electric Company

Write a Letter to this Company

I have heard that you are a right wing company who supports President Bush, FOX News, and that evil pitiful excuse for a woman called Ann Coulter. Ann Coulter had degraded everyone, including Muslims, gays and lesbians, Hispanics, pro-choice people, Democrats, blacks, and the 9/11 widows. She made threats to kill Muslim leaders and convert Muslims to Christianity, called native Americans pot smoking savages, made fun of illegal Hispanic immigrants, and called John Edwards a homophobic slur. I cannot believe your company supports that evil racist Nazi woman!

Until you stop supporting Ann Coulter, GE products will be boycotted by me and my liberal family!

ROFLMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Mikey! There are a lot of words I have thought of to describe
you...but liberal has NEVER been one of them!

When I saw the title of this letter I KNEW it had been written by you
but I thought for sure it was a joke because you are the kind of
people who LIVE for Ann Coulter. You are the kind of person who has
made her rich and given her her voice. Every post you have ever made
on this website, until this one, could have been made by her. And yet,
here you are pretending you dont agree with her! LOL!!!

I very literally cracked up and laughed out loud when I read this
letter. Seriously. Its the funniest thing I have read in WEEKS!

hate much?
your letter calling her an evil nazi is just as hateful as your
accusations.

"I hate everyone who hates what I like" syndrome.

I'm a liberal. And I get what you're saying. But I would strongly
encourage you to listen to Ann Coulter (and other conservatives and
conservative pundits). Why?

Because, as Jeffrey said below, it helps you gain another viewpoint.
And that other viewpoint will then help you to become more knowledable
about your own positions.

My husband is a Republican and his opinions haven't changed mine. In
fact, his opposite viewpoint has forced me to become better informed
about my own ideas and beliefs, and that in turn has strengthened my
beliefs.

I think Ann Coulter is a moron. But even morons have the right to free
speech.

Here's my solution. I don't listen to Ann Coulter. I don't listen to
Don Imus. I don't listen to most of the "commentators" out there who
have obvious slants and biases, simply because what they say is only
their opinion, and not fact. I have my own opinions, and I prefer to
get the facts and make my own opinions, rather than become one of the
"sheeple" who believe whatever a certain person says simply because
they have their own show. Besides, I hear enough idiots at my
workplace, I don't need to hear them on my radio and/or TV at home.

Mike,

Did you know that most corporations give money and support to BOTH
political parties? They do it so BOTH parties will treat them
favorably when passing laws, rules and regulations.

I wouldn't be surprised if GE also donates to the DNC, or if all your
other beloved companies donate to the GOP.

As I'm sure you know, companies are out to make money, not political
statements.

While I find it admirable that you want to stand up for what you
believe in and express your opinions, you should really consider
asking for writing assistance. You obviously feel very strongly about
many different subjects, but a better presentation of your beliefs and
complaints will help get your letters taken seriously by the
recipients (and the readers on PB).

If you look hard enough, EVERYTHING you touch is connected to SOMEONE
you don't like. You buy gas? Gas is connected to Oil. Oil is
connected to Bush. So if you buy gas you are supporting Bush. Now,
I don't like the guy, I just turn off the TV when he is on. I happen
to watch Fox News. But that is only because I get it on Dish and
there is NO local news on at the time I get up in the morning. And
most (I think, correct me if I am wrong) light bulbs are GE or
connected to GE. So are you saying that you are not going to have any
lights on at home or work? And with all that is going on in the World
(My Sympthay to the families of the resent shooting) be lucky this is
ALL you have to bitch about!

I'm wondering what exactly you mean by "support" here.

I don't think this letter is especially likely to cause GE to change
anything, though just as I have supported people's right to boycott a
company for its associations with people they don't like and to
explain why they're doing that I support your right to do the same
thing here.

But as long as you're asking them to do something, it might be helpful
to define it clearly.

Especially if you're sharing the letter, because presumably you'd be
pleased if the rest of us followed your lead. While usually when I
see these letters I know up front that I won't be joining the boycott,
but I might be up for boycotting a company that supports Ann Coulter.
It kind of depends on what kind of support they're giving. And for
the same reason, it would be nice to hear where you heard this. If I
say, "Ann Coulter is an alien from a distant solar system and she is
bent on enslaving humanity on behalf of her species" you can say "I've
heard Ann Coulter is from outer space and trying to enslave us all"
but anyone who knows where you heard it wouldn't really take it
seriously.

Ann Coulter recently received "honorable mention" in a nationwide list
of "most unsexy men in America."

I'm surprised Donald Trump beat her out (he got the #1 spot).

Mike, are you willing to not watch NBC? General Electric owns NBC.

Ann Coulter is a useless skinbag. Ignore her and eventually, she'll
dry up and float away.

As a liberal, I'm surprised that you'd take this stance.

As distasteful as Coulter is, she does have a right to say what she
wants. And GE has the right to allow her to air her opinions, if they
so choose.

It should be no surprise that GE is a "right wing company." They have
long been a major supplier to the military.

That said, my microwave oven allows me to cook my "liberal" bagel in

oh, geez... Why did I waste so much time writing a real reply on the
other version of this letter? I should have noticed who wrote it. I
will say that this version is a LOT more well-written than the other.

As I said in the other one:

Now I loathe Ann Coulter as much as the next decent human being, but
how exactly does GE "support" Ann Coulter? Free stoves? You're gonna
have to boycott a heck of a lot more than GE if you plan on lashing
out at everyone who supports Bush... 51% of the country DID vote for
him in the last election.

If you dislike the current government, work on fixing it in an ADULT
manner. Go out and speak to the people (intelligently, please),
campaign for a candidate and VOTE. Boycotting products is going to
get
you jack squat.

Add:
Nazi is out of line. Unless the woman is forcibly rounding up and
slaughtering millions of people, you don't get to call her a Nazi.
Grow up.
