This reminds me of that book "He's Just Not That Into You". I have two accounts. One is a credit union I've been with for 20 years this fall. The other is a 2 year old BOA. The difference is night and day. BOA does tend to be rather rude, but they're handy to have since they're practically everywhere. If you keep your account in good standing they seem to be "ok". There are plenty of other large, national banks for you, though. Try one of them or a credit union.

Thank your lucky stars that Slime of America won't steal your money ever again! It's a blessing from heaven. Get your checks cashed at a store that does that (1% fee) and KEEP your hard earned money safe in a piggy bank. Or open an account at a trustworthy bank if you must have checks. I've heard so many bad stories about Slime of America and I didn't believe them until it happened to me - twice. RUN LIKE HELL!

Every bank has these complaints.
I screwed up my taxes a few years ago (Didn't realize you had to report sold savings bonds and didn't. I had sold a lot to pay for some unexpected bills that happened during a period of unemployment.
Well the gist of it the IRS sent me a notice saying I owed taxes on that.
Contrary to their rep, the IRS was nice about it. The guy who worked on my file saw I had filed every year on time by April 15th and I obviously called the day I got the notice. And it was a stupid but honest mistake.
We worked out a payment agreement to pay it off in 4 monthly installments out of my checking account. He even froze interest charged from thed ate of my call.
I sent them my bank information.
Well my mother is also on my account and has other accounts there.
Somehow TCF took the money out of my mother's account. This is her bills account that she doesn't keep extra in.
So NSF fees came up. We called the IRS and they sent us a copy of the form I had filled out which clearly showed I used information out of my own checking account not any of my mother's.
They told us we should ask the IRS for the NSF fees. WHy? TCF screwed up not the IRS.
Finally they refunded the fees.

She has a very legitimate complaint if she never gave Arrow authorization. But the thing is her beef is with Arrow not Bank of America.

Banks charging you a fee because you have no money...hehe. How do they expect you to pay an NSF fee if you didn't have the money in the first place?

If Arrow was illegally charging your account you should sue them til the cows come home.
Bank of America will want your business because you'll be rich.
And while most lawsuits are baloney sausage you'd have a legit one.

You must have screwed up pretty badly if they told you they didn't want to give you any accounts in the future. From later posts, it look sliek they took you back. Congratulations.
A quick survey of the messages shows you really don't take criticism well. So you think that because you messed up and BOA didn't want you back, that would reflect badly on BOA? OK, I can see how that makes no sense at all.

I have no idea what a "Risk Dept" is, but I'm guessing it sure as heck isn't anything good. If a bank flat-out states that they don't want you as a customer, you should probably take the hint and bank elsewhere.
As far as I know there are no laws stating that any bank is *obligated* to take on unwanted customers, especially if those customers have had problems with the bank in the past.
Oh, and the implied threat that you'll somehow get the company you work for to stop banking with BoA is downright laughable--unless your position at said company is CEO or CFO, it's impossible to take that seriously.

So it looks like this is Arrow's fault, not BofA.. I would get a lawyer..

I think "worked" is the key word in this treatened boycott by 50,000 Employees. I know I JUMP when someone says "don't bank there" and I tell two friends and they tell two friends and so on and so on....If one strike and you're out and putting bugs in people's ears dosen't do it, why not try another approach?

Why, if below you state your problems stem from unauthorized withdrawls from a company called Arrow, do you refer to the situation in a previous letter as
"because I made a couple of mistakes managing my account...they closed it, and they told me I had poor banking history so they closed my account. I want Bank of America to give me a 2nd chance and to reopen my checking account. All of my family banks with Bank of America..."?
I'm not understanding how this problem you state is due to "a couple of mistakes managing my account" is now due to a bunch of unauthorized withdrawls from a collection agency?

I don't think Bank of America cares whether you feel comfortable.
I think they're trying to get you to grasp that they want you to go away.
You asked whether there was any possible way that you could reopoen your account. The representative answered you. Sure, it was blunt, but you do not appear to be picking up on the subtle signals they have been giving you, and sometimes bluntness is necessary. Since your response to the blunt answer is "Give me a 2nd chance and reopen my Checking Account" I suspect you are going to be encountering even more bluntness from BoA in the near future.
Down in the comments on the very first reply someone has given you some suggestions for pursuing things with Arrow Financial. I would suggest that you put the energy you have been investing in your quest to get your BoA account reopened into getting things straightened out with Arrow, because while BoA seems to be perfectly willing to leave you alone (and hopeful that you will reciprocate), Arrow appears unwilling to do the same.

With all due respect, your letter comes across as petty and immature. I'm sure you're a reasonable articulate person and I would suggest re-writing this and including more pertinent details and leaving out the empty threats.

Most companies don't respond well to threats, especially ones like yours that are more apt to induce laughter then fear.
Find another bank. That way you can screw up with them and then blame them for your poor handling of your finances.

I'm sorry, but this made me laugh. I really doubt that whomever is in charge of banking at the business you work for, probably in the lower echelon, really cares about your banking problems with BOA.

Unless you're CEO, you don't have any influence. Sorry. And I don't think you are CEO, being that such people are usually required to have an education level surpassing elementary school. Not trying to be mean. Just pointing out that if no one here can even take you seriously, what on Earth makes you think a company as big as BoA would, either?

Yvonne: This is your third letter attempting to get your BofA checking account re-opened. There has to be more to this story as banks don't close accounts for one mistake.
Furthermore, the fact you work for a company that banks with BofA and has 50,000 employees is meaningless in this siutation - - as is your threat to encourage them to change banks. BofA doesn't care who you know or that you claim they provide poor customer service - - they care how you manage your personal account. I seriously doubt your company will change their banking relationship because your personal bank account was closed.
