Birds Eye Makes Tuesday Night Dinner Enjoyable

Posted Tue June 5, 2007 12:00 pm, by Deborah L. written to Birds Eye

Write a Letter to this Company

Tuesday nights are kind of boring dinner nights in my household. Recently I have come to rely on various throw-it-all-in-a-skillet frozen meals, often with questionable or mediocre results.

Tonight we had a Birds Eye Garlic Chicken Voila meal for the first time. The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was the copious quantity of brightly colored frozen vegetables - carrots, broccoli and corn and a sizeable amount of chicken. Per the instructions, I added 1/4 cup of water and let it simmer on the stovetop for 9 minutes.

We were astounded!

Crunchy veggies and nicely seasoned chicken had everyone at my table raving about this meal. Even my teenager who usually only goes for fresh vegetables declared this one a winner. What a fantastic meal for busy parents on the go.

No more boring Tuesday meals for this household.

Thanks, Birds Eye.

Sincerely,
Debbie L.

I have enjoyed Birds Eye for a long time also but its time to stand up
for what is right.Just MHO.Birds Eye is made in Mexico.I only buy
Picsweet mads packged and dist. in the USA.I refuse to buy anything
made in China anymore.I have been to many stores and have a great list
of items with amerian Flag and made in USA on the packages. These are
the things I buy.I have had to give up many things I once enjoyed but
its worth it to me.Pay a little more but its still worth.Just look
around You will find them.No more Victorias Secret.Niece and 300 more
lost jobs when they went to mexico or wherever. No more Bobbie
brooks.Use to be one of the best sports clothing line in USA.No
more.Could go on but you get the idea.Look around.Buy USA You won't be
sorry and our people will have a job. What ever race they are.

Totally agreed!

There has to be a reason this particular variety has been around for
years. The Garlic Voila absolutely rocks.

I'm glad you brought it up, because I haven't thought of buying it in
a long time! My frozen food shopping usually consists of grabbing
hot-pockets and pizza rolls for my teenager to eat for lunch.

Thanks for the reminder, girlfriend!

I'm going to have to try that! I have yet to see that, but it sounds
kind of healthy too!

I've been pretty impressed with bird's eye line. usually i only cook
fresh veggies, but when im trying to cook multiple things in a hurry,
its easier to use those microwave steamer bag things. they work pretty
well too (still prefer fresh though)

I am going to pick these up for the nights that I work!! My husband is
limited to what he can prepare, and the kids are getting a bit sick of
the usual "Daddy dinners" (although they can't get enough of the
Campbell's Garlic Chicken bake, the'd eat it every night if they
could)

I'm sure everyone would like to try these, thanks for the great
letter!!

Birds Eye has a lot of good stuff. We tried their beef and brocolli
in garlic sauce last week and it came out great.

Can you give me a hint on what would make Wednesday night dinner

I've had the Voila meals. It is a really easy and very tasty product,
and it's everything in one: meat, veggies, and pasta.

Great letter :)

I think I'd like to try this also. It does sound pretty easy and
fast. I love some of the interesting combos there are out there now
and this one sounds great!

Good Letter... and it sounds like a great product! I'll be sure to add
it to my shopping list. I already trust the Birdseye brand and this
sounds delicious, quick, and easy

I haven't tried these stirfries, but now I may have to!

We're always scrambling to cook something up, and like your
experiences, it usually ends up being something you have to choke
down, and you can tell it's been frozen for god-knows-how-long.

Great letter, and thanks for tipping me off to a good product.

I agree. That one is good. So is the Pasta Primavera with Chicken.
Those are the only two that I have tried so far and they are good.
