Unsatisfied Customer

On July 16, 2007 I visited your Newport Isles Location in Port St Lucie Florida. I was picking up several items but looking in particular for two advertised items I saw in your Sunday flyer. Item #1 Girls Hanes underwear bonus pack 10 count for $4.96. After searching and searching I asked the associate who runs this department and she did not know if she had it but said she would check in the back after waiting for 10-15 minutes she came back and said she did not have any. Next I went to the fashion department looking for bookbags/messenger bags that were also advertised in the Sunday flyer. I could not find the items so I spoke with the lady who ran this department and she informed me that she did not even know they were advertising these items and that she would check in the back after again waiting 15 minutes she also came back an informed me that she did not have the items. This was Monday and the sale was advertised for Sunday.I must also point out that both employees had to borrow my circular because they did not have one (these where the heads of the department). This is not the first time this has happened and once before I went to another Walmart located 20 minutes away and was able to purchase the items I needed (girls polo shirts) but did not have the time to do this yesterday.I attempted today to purchase the items online but they are not in stock online. Also when I went to check out yesterday I had one coupon for a free Cacoa Reserve candy bar I presented the cashier with the coupon and she scanned it and asked me what the price was for the item, I told her 2.88 she tried to put that in then informed me the machine would not accept that amount. She printed of the receipt and informed me it was 2.38 that was not correct that was the price for hershey toffee nuggets I purchased. I told her to just use that price because I needed to go and she said "I am using that price because that IS the price" (with attitude). I checked out and left Walmart very disgusted. I will bring this up at the next HOA meeting as this Walmart is located directly next to my Gated Community and see if anyone else has similiar issues with this particular Walmart

1. Train Department Heads properly, insuring that they know their department and the items in it.
2.Post a flyer at the front door and mark off items that are not in stock so customers do not have to aimlessly search or wait around for items that are not in the store.

3.Make sure Key employees have a fly and know what's in it.

So you live in a gated community? Wow! I arrested a guy for
molesting little kids, he lived in a gated community. Are you trying
to prove a point? Bringing up a wal-mart issue to your HOA? Do you
complain to Wal-Mart if are unhappy w/ your neighbors? Your a sad and
pathetic lady, as I'm sure you've figured out from my other pots
pertaining to your rude comments to everyone else, I think you should
prob. educate yourself a little bit more.

Congratulations that you live in a "gated community" (next to a
WAL-MART). WHO CARES?

I finally know what HOA stands for! Thank you! :)

It's frustrating when you go to a store to buy something that's in an
ad and they don't have any.
The trouble is that they sometimes don't get extra mdse, they just go
with what they have in stock. And sometimes they only have a few of
certain items if any.
That's the way it is in my store.

That's about the gist of it. The explanation of what I'm trying to say
really is longer.

But, I feel your pain.

that items run out and since most reatilers (like KMart, WalMart &
Target) get trucks in every night or at least every other night, it's
sometimes hard to know EXACTLY what is available at any given moment.

What would have happened if they sold their LAST pack of panties just
before you walked in and before they could post a notice, you came
looking for them? It honestly does happen.

I do think your letter has some merits - you came in on Monday, not on
the last day of the sale. The store does seem to suffer from lack of
organization and I'm not understanding why the cashier asked YOU what
the price of the candy bar was. Shouldn't she have seen that when she
scanned it??

You don't mention if you inquired whether they would be getting more
of the specials in over the next few days. I realize this might not
be an ideal situation to have to come back or call in to check on it,
but things do sell out.

But the whole HOA/gated community comment, I would leave that out next
time you write a letter like this - it has no relevance to the issue
and only serves as a thinly veiled threat to the company (I'm gonna
tell ALL my friends what happened)

First of all thanks for taking the time to read my comment.
Secondly the Walmart never had the items in stock and did not know if
they would ever get the items in stock.
Secondly
I do not know about your HOA but at our meetings we discuss various
issues including local business the good and the bad ie.. have you
been to ____ they have great sushi or have you been to____ the service
stinks.

Again Thank You for your feedback

Overall, your complaint is valid, but I'm wondering why you felt the
need to point out that you live in a "Gated Community."

Please, leave your HOA out of it. This is your complaint not their's.

I think you have legitimate complaints and it sounds like it's a
poorly managed Walmart location. However, I would suggest, as someone
who is part of a homeowners association, don't hassle your neighbors
about this. If I had a neighbor who did that, I'd be highly annoyed.
