I like your store and there is one that is far away. it is so far that if i want to go there i have to take the bus with my older brothers or go with my mom and dad. i like your store because you sell lots of toys and nintendo games. I also like it because it has candy in the front. Even though you spelled are wrong. you spelled it with an r that is back wards and it is spelled are i still go there.

I'm glad you sent them this letter, Richard. It's great that you're
learning to use the Internet and that you understand how to compliment
companies you like.

You mentioned Nintendo. My son is 10 and in the 5th grade. He has a
Wii and a DS. They are both very cool.

I noticed you mentioned that they have not written back yet. It make
take a little time. When I complained to Apple about my iPod, they
sent me a letter in the mail. So if you put all correct info in that
spot when you signed up.. you might be expecting a letter.

Great letter! I like Toys R Us too. I especially like the candy. I got
a Bertie Botts Every Flavour Bean drawstring sack that came with jelly
bellys there and it's so cute. It kind of has a happy atmosphere there
too, doesn't it? I love to just walk around and look at everything.

I haven't shopped at Toys R Us since they reorganized their floorplan
to create an illogical maze of shelves.

I have also given up on toys and mostly just play in the mud for now!

Richard, the backwards R is just to grab customr's attention.
Businesses try to come up with slogans or emblems that will make them
stand out and cause people to remember them. Think about it, if you
were to say 'that toy store with th backwards letter' most people will
know who you are talking about. :)

It's also a play on the fact that children often write letters
backwards when they are first learning. Since it's a store aimed at
children, they are making it clear with the name.

For me, I always giggle a bit when I see Toys R Us, because of my
Russian professor in college. When she first came to America, she was
very confused by the name of the store. In Russian, there is a
backwards R that is pronounced 'ya' and she was always reading it
Toys Ya Us. :)

Hi Richard. I have a son who is also 9 and in the fourth grade. I
think I should show him your letter and encourage him to also write to
companies.
Good job!

You may have mistakenly chosen Complaint instead of Compliment when
starting your letter. But it is okay, a frown is just a smile turned
upside down!
