Always playing the damned race card. Hell a black teen overcharged me at the store the other day. I bet she did it because I am white. Get a life.

You can not say that you/your company were denied approval because of your race, if the person handling your application was unaware of your ethnicity. Here's my question, did you complete any paperwork that asked for your ethnicity? If not, I am sorry but I have to agree with the other posters on this one. I do however acknowledge that discrimination in the form of loan denials, higher loan APR, and such does happen. I just don't believe it happened in your case.

Here we go withe "race" issue again. Everytime someone does something wrong to a black person it always turns out to be a "race" issue. GET OVER YOURSELF, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. QUIT YER SNIVELLIN'. You were denied because they considered you a credit risk, not because you were black. Plus, how was that other person on the end of the phone supposed to know that you were black? Get a life!

I am guessing that the issues brought up by the OP about the name is about the name of the company. Not the OP's name.
Money To Be Made Entertainment, Inc
I have a feeling the credit was denied on the TYPE of business...not who is behind it.
They saw it as a credit risk. Plan and simple. The was no COLOR involved.
I am not black and I have a lot of trouble getting credit. Maybe next time I fill out an application I should make a note telling them I am white to ensure they approve me.

You have a few problems with your letter.
First of all, you give absolutely no proof that you were discriminated against based on your race. Now if, perhaps there was additional conversation with the "rude woman" to effect of her calling you an "ignorant N-word" or other inappropriate degrading slur, that would be very different. But based on what you wrote, you have no basis to argue or even suggest that the rep's motives were racially motivated.
Secondly.you have no proof that they broke any laws. They are not OBLIGATED to extend credit to you based on YOUR interpretation of your credit rating. They said, quite plainly, that based on the information YOU provided them, they could not provide you with any credit. If you failed to include pertinent information, that would be an entirely different situation.
You might have a great relationship with Equifax, but maybe this company uses Transunion (or whatever it is this week!)when they check someone's credit. Just because you claim to have a great rating there, if that's not where they obtain their verification, it might as well be printed on the moon. Credit is a privilege, not a right.
Third, you have no proof of false advertising either. Did they say that they extend credit to EVERYONE? Then how did they mislead you? Your outrage aside, none of your opinions even REMOTELY factually based.
For someone who claims to be an entrepreneur, you aren't very smart about how you handle your business, nor how you present yourself. No one is going to want to work with a vendor that claims they are being racilally discriminated against everytime things don't go their way.
I would also advise that you consult an attorney before you post letters like this to a public forum in the future. It really doesn't bode well for an up and coming enterprise to get slapped with a fat libel lawsuit so early on.

I don't think it had anything to do with your race. The real reason you did not get the credit application approved to make copies of your book with them sponcering you was probably because they had a glance of your books. If you wrote your books the way you wrote this letter with words like "ruddiest" then they would not take a chance sponcering yor book. Your book would not sell with made up words and they did not want to take a risk.

Julia B.?
I got it now!!!!
The B is for Blackwoman. Your name is Julia Blackwoman. That's how they knew to deny you.
Riddle solved people. You can all go back to what ever it was you were doing.

Maybe they figured (if you wrote like this) that any book written by you would be a huge credit risk? Why would they get ruddy people from a state prison? I would think prison would make one's complexion pale, not ruddy. Also, the proper terminology is DISsatisifed, not unsatisfied.

I take it you sent a picture of yourself when you sent the application. How else would they know you're black?
I don't know what's worse. Your letter writing skills or the fact that a company is actually going to publish you when you can't even write a decent letter.

There is nothing about the name Julie that would indicate that you are black. Just admit it was your mistake that you screwed up and it has nothing to do with racism.

They came across as racist...? Unless they actually called you a racist name, there's no possible way to tell that. And even if she was, have you prove this woman represented the whole company?
By the way... ruddiest? I'm going into a career in English, thank you for letting me know that they don't set the bar that high.

Here we go again with racism! Somebody said something about your group name, which has no race connotations to it. You did not get what you want and so now you cry racism. What is wrong w/ you? Racist!

"She was rude and came across racist as she made negative comments about our name."
Do you think you could give us an example of what she said? What negative comments did she have for you?

I'm reminded of last week's episode of My Name Is Earl, when Earl's dimwit brother Randy is informed he scored a 55% on his test to become a prison guard. Randy's response:
"I think I'd like to play the race card now. How do I do that?"

What about this gave you the impression the decision had anything to do with race? How would they even know what race you were?
