Honey Mustard NOT Mayonaisse

On Tuesday, October 23, I went to the drive-thru of my local Wendy's location (Brentwood Village Mall, Calgary, Alberta, Canada) and ordered my usual: A Ham and Swiss Frescata Sandwich, a Bacon and Cheese Potatoe, and a Large Coca-Cola.

The service, like always, was speedy and I was able to get in and out of the drive-thru in less than two minutes.

When I got to my meeting, I pulled out my purchase and started to eat my sandwich. To my digust, the sandwich had mayonaisse instead of honey mustard sauce. I hate mayonaisse!

This was not the first time Wendy's has put mayonaisse instead of honey mustard on my sandwich. So this time I decided I was going to go back and complain after my meeting.

Two hours later, I brought the sandwich back and went into the store and informed the lady at the counter that they made my sandwich wrong and I would like what I ordered and paid for; a ham and swiss sandwich with honey mustard sauce, like it is suppose to have. She got me to speak to someone else, I presume a manager but no where on her name badge did it say her title. I explained once more what had happened and pointed out it was not the first time this had happened.

She immediately went and got an employee to make me the ham and swiss sandwich properly. When she gave it to me, she thanked me for my patience (at no time, however, did she actually apologize). And I went home and enjoyed my sandwich two and a half hours later.

I think Wendy's did a okay job handling the situation once it was brought to their attention. However, I hope they are able to improve their accuracy and put the correct sauce on the right sandwich in the future.

My only question would be, does it normally come with mayo and ask for
no mayo and substitute honey mustard? I can see how they'd screw that
up on a regular basis. I suggest you admit defeat on getting the
sandwich you want and stop for a moment (I take my food to a table or
to the condiment bar) to check your sandwich before you leave. That
30 seconds of inconvenience is well worth it when compared to an
inedible lunch.

And I think more people need to learn the art of the apology. An
authentic apology can undo so much damage.

It is supposed to be honey mustard sauce.

The Ham and Swiss sandwich comes with Honey Mustard. The Turkey
sandwich comes with mayo. Some may say that that is why it was mixed
up. To me that is liking putting a piece of chicken instead of a beef
pattie on a hamburger.

Since I went through the drive-thru, I only checked to make sure I got
everything I ordered. Now I will have to also check the contents of
what I order too I guess.

2 hours later? What were you doing in that 2 hours that was more
important than going back?

And then you turn around and complain that you had the right sandwich
2.5 hours later, when YOU waited 2 hours to go back.

People do make mistakes and I'm glad you realize this.
