the online promo "girls night out" is the fraud. they used a known fraudulent coupon and sent it to you and probably hundreds of other people. The coupon code that you posted is, in fact, the same coupon code that has been passed around the internet for 8 months and more - any Blockbuster employee has already memorized that code and will look at the coupon right away and know its fake, in fact, they all know that anyone that attempts to use that coupon is using a fake one since the company does not give out the "blockbuster night" coupons anymore, legit or not.
It is actually illegal to use a fraudulent coupon, and if you were to try to fight Blockbuster to get them to honor the coupon, they will just laugh at you since you are the fraud.

Probably a scam. Print it out and take it to the manager of the store.

Was it a Blockbuster coupon? Probably not. Now stop your tantrum or you will get a Time Out instead of a Girl's Night Out.

They won't honor your coupon, no matter how much you complain and whine and threaten. If it weren't fake, it still wouldn't be worth the vindictive nature of your posts. Is popcorn and a bottle of soda worth getting this upset over?

Hey, if it was an official Blockbuster coupon, just print out the e-mail (which would have been from Blockbuster, I imagine) and bring it in to the store, thus proving the coupon you have is actually a real coupon and not one that someone simply forwarded to you.

Blockbuster is one of the WORST movie places around. They are a fraud, they have horrible customer service, and you can get better deals if you do something like NetFlix.

I also participated in an online promotion and received a coupon in my email good for one free Blockbuster franchise location. When I took the coupon to my local Blockbuster, they refused to honor it on the grounds that it was "ridiculous." They're the ones who are ridiculous.
I want Blockbuster to hand over the keys to that store. I have a coupon, dammit! A coupon FROM THE INTERNET!!!

Now she is going to seek legal council for this.

I worked for Blockbuster for about 5 years and I still frequent online forums to hear funny stories about customers.
Anyways, I remember reading about 2 weeks ago that there was a fake online coupon out there that was for the very same items you were trying to obtain. Apparently someone out there is trying to scam Blockbuster.
Im not saying this is what you were trying to do. But if this was a fake coupon that you were trying to use, I dont think Blockbuster has to honor it. I just wanted to give you the "real story" about this situation.

I find the statement about enjoying an evening out hilarious. What does renting movies have to do with going out? Maybe the coupon should state, "Enjoy an evening sitting on your ass doing nothing."
