I applied for Cit Advantage card and was denied. I called and spoke to a rep, and she said I can't do a reconsideration but she did tell me I have to may inquiry on my credit report I explained to her it was from car shopping and I did not give them permission and as I stated I did not buy a vehicle she really didn't care at all!! She was rude and ignorant. I asked if there was someone I can speak with and she said once denied then no. I already have a premier pass card and I pay on time and always more than my minimum payment. I am very upset with this I have tried to rebuild my credit from a nasty divorce and it has been hard. I am nurse and I make good money and I have been very responsible with my new accounts and I would like to have a chance to continue to build a strong and positive relationship with citibank. Please feel free to contact me at and I ask for you to please reconsider my application which was done on November 19, 2007 online. Again please CALL ME THANK YOU

Please reconsider my application so I can continue on the road of positive relationship with CITIBANK and to have a chance again to prove myself. Please contact me at to reconsider my application. Also please look at my premier pass card and my payment history as I am very proud of it!!!!

I agree that you can probably still try to get a card, but I think YOU
need to be the one to take the initiative and call THEM. They are NOT
going to call you. If you want a CC from THEM, call them. Clearly
they already determined they do not need to kiss your ass, for your
business. Take the responsibility and call them, and figure out a way
for them to want to give you a C.C

umm.....she did take initiative! by Adam W Sun November 25, 2007 @ 10:36 PM

I love it when people leave in their phone number I like to give them
a quick call

I don't get your point at all. Denied is denied. Hey.....try using
some periods in your letters next time. You might get taken more
seriously if you do.

There are periods all through this letter. by Moldy Cheese Tue November 20, 2007 @ 5:56 PM

Besides that I think this is a very poorly wirten letter...is it just
me that doesn't understand why people write letters to banks regarding
the denial of a credit card.

Maybe someone canm explain what I'm missing...

Banks will reconsider. by Adam W Thu November 22, 2007 @ 1:59 PM

Sigh. "Rebuilding" your credit doesn't mean you should apply for more
debt. It means paying off the debt you already have.

It's better to get credit when you need it then to get it when you don't. by Adam W Tue November 20, 2007 @ 9:12 PM

by Harleycat Posted Tue November 20, 2007 @ 11:18 AM

As the moldy one said, you need to e-mail PFB and get them to remove
your phone number. Just a quick glance at your number and I know what
city and state you live in.

You also need to take this up with whoever made the unauthorized
inquiry in your credit report. Once that's resolved, you can apply

I do have to ask though, if you are trying to rebuild your credit
after a divorce, why do you want another card? You should just use
the one you have sensibly.

by karen schap Posted Tue November 20, 2007 @ 11:22 AM

Yes have rebuilt my credit since divorce but i need to increase my
tradelines. I must say my experience here has been very interesting.
I was just treated badly and it was wrong and as I said to moldy how
do I remove my number? thank you

It's been removed.. by Harleycat Tue November 20, 2007 @ 1:04 PM

It's a catch 22 by Adam W Tue November 20, 2007 @ 7:58 PM

by Moldy Cheese Posted Tue November 20, 2007 @ 10:41 AM

First of all, the few times I have spoken with CSR's regarding credit
eligibility, they have been very professional and knowledgeable.
Therefore I find "rude and ignorant" a curious decription. I hope the
rep wasn't described this way because you didn't get the answer you

Second, I suggest you write to PFB and have them remove your phone
number from this website. When you wrote your letter, you forgot to
delete this information when given the opportunity.
