Chase credit card payment

I have a Chase credit card and I made my December payment early, which is due on 12/16. I made the payment on 11/27 and they are informing me that I still have to make a December payment, because my billing statement was not closed out when the payment was received. Now I am thinking this is a rip off, since they are the ones that will benefit, if I do not make another payment in December I will be charge a late fee and my interest rate will certainly increase, whaich is to their advantage. A rep name responded to my email to them. I can be reached at

Thanks

I want my account to reflect the true payment, which I made for December and not have Chase rip me off.

USAA Mastercard. I can actually do what you wanted Chase to do with
your account.

This is not a rip off.

Nearly all credit card companies allow customers to make multiple
payments in a billing period and nearly all, if not all, credit card
companies do not allow customers to apply a payment from one billing
period to the next one.

Remove your phone number from the letter.
