Milkshake machine at Rally's

I just went to the Rallys/Checkers Drive Thru on Verity Parkway in Middletown Ohio and also the breiel location. I first went to the Breiel store to get food and a milkshake. I was told that the milkshake machine wasn't working. That normally would be okay, however, this is the 8th time in the last 2 weeks they have told me this. I have a shake Daily for the last 5 years, they are the best Shakes I have ever had. I wanted a milkshake so badly that I went all the way across town to the other location to get one. The girl informed me that the shake is very runny and is pure liquid because she only added the mix because we ordered one. I feel that any menu item should be kept on hand at all times. I took the milkshake but it was not enjoyable. Here in Ohio we are right in the middle of a snowstorm and I went through that just to get the shake. I am very disappointed that the machine on Breiel hasn't been working at all this month and it has not been fixed. I get a shake everyday on my way home from work and I will not settle for any other shake than Rally's so I will not go anywhere else to get it.
I would like for you to handle this the way you see fit and get back to me and I would also like to know why the machine is not fixed and when I can expect it to be fixed. Thanks in advance.

Don't feel bad about your shake, they hardely wash the machine anyway. Here is something to swallow. I was a manager at a Rallys in Evansville, IN. An ex-employee robbed the place and I gave up info on the robbery. When this ex-employee admitted his role, I asked about the reward I was offered. My girlfriend and I were both terminated with no reward, and are fghting unemployment issues. I have three children who are starving because of greed. They also told everyone I was a snitch, but it was other employees who snitched to me. I just did my job and told what i thought was right. Best believe this wont be the last you here from me. I will make sure you dont FRAUD or screw anyone else. Your worst nightmare.

I would have phoned them first since you have the snowstorm going on to ask them if the machine was still having problems.
The second store may not be getting the volume of customers, because of that snowstorm and might be why they just poured the mix for you.

Let's ass/u/me you work a five day week. After five years, that means you consumed approximately 1,300 milk shakes. What size are you now? 42? 50? 62? I hope you walked to the second location because that would at least have worked off some of the calories you've been putting on. OTOH, maybe the employees only TOLD you the machine was down--hoping you'd drop a few pounds.

FYI, shakes can't be "on hand" at all times. Shake machines need to be emptied and all the parts (and the interior) need to be sanitized. A person experienced at doing this process can do it all in about 60-90 minutes (if I remember correctly, there's a certain amount of time that the parts need to be sanitized, and that is included in that 60-90 minute estimate).
So there will be a chunk of time every day at which the shake machine will be out of order. If a restaurant is open 24 hours, the restaurant will choose the best time that works for them to do this (a person cleaning a shake machine can take orders and do other stuff but at some times, there is no interruption possible). If a restaurant ISN'T open 24 hours a day, it gets trickier. The time involved with cleaning the shake machine means it needs to be started prior to the restaurant closing. When I worked fast food, it took 3-5 people a solid hour to close the restaurant, and that did NOT include cleaning the shake machine.
Having said all that... perhaps you could contact the manager of that location -- politely and calmly -- and discuss your complaint and find out what is going on with their shake machine.
Good luck!
