Upgrade Your Unfair Feedback System, Ebay!

I have sent messages like this to Ebay before, but they just don't care. Larger companies never do. Once they make it big-time, then they couldn't care less about their customers. MY biggest complaint is the feedback system. I currently have 480 positive feedbacks. But ONLY 365 of them are now valid. That's 115 feedbacks that no longer matter!!! Even though I won the auction, paid for the item, the seller shipped, and I received the item. Even though I sold my items, the buyer paid, and everything went off without a hitch. NONE OF THIS MATTERS TO EBAY!! If those 365 people who left me feedback now leave, I will have 0 feedback!
How is this fair? After years of upgrading your site, you still leave this feature out. An auction is valid even after those buyers and sellers leave correct? Those auction did occur correct? Why don't you upgrade this fault with your feedback system, instead of adding stupid features like your message alert system. Which is just set up so you can spam us with more offers.
It's time to be fair to those of us that were customers when your site was nothing! When it had 100,000 users and no one knew about it. Let ALL of our feedbacks count!
Update your feedback system. Make ALL feedbacks count, even if those users close their accounts.

You lost me at "large companies do not care. Once they make it big-time, then the couldn't care less about their customers."

It seems when people have a complaint that does not go their way, they resort to this rhetoric. They blame the company, the stockholders, the CEO, they call them greedy, etc etc etc. Complaints are probably more effective when you leave this type of speech out.

Maybe you are mistaking the total feedback with the feedback that shows? You do get the total feedback from the same seller, it shows in your profile but will only reflect as one feedback per seller/buyer next to your ebay name.

Wait a minute, if a buyer or seller who left you positive feedback un-registers from ebay, you lose that feedback rating? Are you sure? I've been on ebay for 10 years and have almost 700 positives. Surely some of those people are no longer registered users, but I've never seen my feedback decrease.
But I have to agree with Redhead. Whether you have 365 or 480 positive ratings, you're obviously a seller in good standing. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to bid on one of your auctions going by your feedback profile.

What's the difference between 365 positive feedbacks and 480? I mean, if you have 99+% positive feedback, and you've reached a certain number (50? 100?), then people will know you're a reliable ebay member. I don't think someone will think, "Oh, I deal only with those who have at least 400 feedback ratings in their account."

no no no...he means that if a person leaves him positive feedback, then closes their ebay account, the feedback they left gets removed. so if 115 people who left him positive feedback close their accounts, then he loses 115 feedback points....

I read it the first time, but I don't believe that what he is saying is true. I have been on ebay for 8 yrs and I don't recall ever losing feedback to someone's closed account and I've already seen a few including one seller who was banned for ripping people off and I had a transaction with that person too. I could be wrong, or this could be a new feature.

Are you saying that feedback is dropped after you've already received it if a buyer/seller terminates their membership?
Maybe you could rewrite this letter with less anger and clarify some if it.
