Why did you wait 20 minutes for the semi to do it's thing instead of parking, getting out of the car, going inside and ordering/getting your food. All of that would have taken 20 minutes or less.
Shame on you for using 911 to cry wolf.

So, how is this an emergency again?
Were you on fire? No.
Were you being held at gunpoint? No.
Were you angry? Wait - that's not an emergency.
Sorry, ma'am but the last I knew 911 is busy handling life-or-death issues... they don't need to be tasked with "I had a hissy fit and want my money back" issues. You can take those to the regular police office.
Is anyone else reminded of the 911 case where the lady is screaming at the operator, "I want my dollar or my taco!" Likewise, not an emergency - just a bruised ego.
Better yet... The Bloom Country comic strip where Opus calls 911 to report an overweight neighbor wearing tight green hotpants while bending over.
Yes, your call to 911 was as frivilous as calling 911 over someone wearing tight pants. You'll live through it. You'll be grumpy, but normal people don't die from it.

Ha ha ha, oh dear me! You called 911? What a joke! 911 is an EMERGENCY line, getting your $9.14 back is NOT an emergency, so get real! If you didn't like the service then just don't go back there again, simple as that. But I suspect you will anyway so stop complaining!

Never ever call 911 from the drive thru. Do it further out in the parking lot so when the police come to take you down and kick your stupid ass they do not interfere with the rest of us getting our hamburgers and laughing at your stupidity.

Do you know that your frivilous 911 call could have prevented the police from getting to a real emergency? Someone could have died due to your pathetic inability to realise that the world does not revolve around you.
Here's a solution for you; next time you find the drive in blocked, park the car, get out and go into the restaurant for your food. And you're lucky not to be fined for making that call, so stop moaning about not getting your money back.

This letter must be a joke? You must have posted this just to see what kind of comments you would get. What idiot, is going to call 911 about an experience at McDonalds? You have to be crazy or high on something! Someone should call 911 on you. Also, you sound like a real jerk! lmao!

Is this a joke? You actually called 911 over this? 911 is for emergencies only! I don't know why you would involve the police with a hamburger but if you felt you needed an officer for some reason, you could always call the non-emergency line of your local police department for things that are not urgent.

The MCdonalds I went to where I wiated 20 minutes or so for my Crispy Chicken (only one at counter) - They at least gaveme my money back after I asked for it. I think the unwritten relationship rules i.e. (Customer/clerk, etc) Is that friendly people serving fast fresh food for money. Thatis the expectation and the rule is if I spend my money I should at least expect decent service and decent food in a timely manner.

You know you can be arrested for making a call like this to 911, right? 911 is for EMERGENCIES, not stupid stuff like this.
I can only hope that you are nothing more than a troll. But, with the way some people think these days, I'm really not sure.

Let me tell you something - Mc Donald's is symptomatic of the plague running amuck across our nation these days.
I am not saying that all worker's at McDonald's are rude, but I have met the majority who are, in fact, rude, lazy and could care less about your stupid order.
I have experienced time after time, at many McDonald restaurants, this trend that is causing a contagious spirit of bitterness and anger across the nation. I don't blame McDonald's alone, I believe it to be a trend among the nation's parental figure sand the disturbing sense of apathy amongst america's youth, in general.
One McDonald's, I noticed one off-duty chick in a low-cut t-shirt/blouse/muscle-shirt? thingie who walked around giving advice to the other workers and carrying an unlit cigaret as she did so.
THis was the same McDonald's that I also aexperienced a 20 minute wait for a Crispy Chicken, meanwhile my fries (which I watched them break apart because they double-loaded the hopper) an dfamily's other food was geting cold (to -go order) I was the only one at the counter and I opted for the counter, because the drive-thru was full with over 6 cars. They were long-gone before i got my order.
I have many more sad experiences of this McDoanld's and other restaurants with worker's who just could care less about what you want and when you want it. I do not understand giving a wage increase to theese non-voting people who have done nothing extra to deserve an increase minimum wage increase. Perhaps it is because the government knows that they are the age-group who spends their "hard-earned" money to keep this , otherwise flat, economy going. It is a sad system.
I earn my money and I am tired of wasting it for crap food that sickens my family and to be treated with disdain and disrespect of kids who I have gone to war twice now to fight for - so they can mistreat my family at restaraunts all across America. (Not just the kids either, many over-the-hill seniors with an attitude and lack-luster faces who haven't the time of day to give you when you smile and ask them if they are ready to take your order.
No "hello", no "How may I serve you?" it is usually... "Wahat do you want?" and "Is that all you want dude?" So now I am really pissed in \writing this. I have so much more to say and about the other restaraunts as well. Be back when I cool off. lol

if you sat behind a Semi for 20 minutes, then that is YOUR fault.
Or did they not teach you that the car goes in reverse to get a Florida Driver's License?
Secondly, as other have already covered, you don't call 911 unless it is a true emergency where its life and death. Your stinkin' $9.14 IS NOT an emergency by anyone's definition.
Third, your stupidity is not cause for anyone to lose their job. I'm appalled and offended that you wrote this letter, but I have no more right to call your ISP and demand they cut off your Internet so you can't fill up any more cyberspace with garbage like this than you do to insist this manager be fired because of circumstances beyond her control.
Do us all a favor Bessie, go on Wikipedia and lookup the Sun so that you can see without a doubt that it does not rise and set just for you!

Wow!! You called 911 over a big mac? I think you started this all off by complaining about the truck, McDonald's is not in the trucking business. You are the one who left you food in the middle of your tantrum. I still can't believe you called 911! You really need to grow up and realize that the world will not cater to you and neither will the police.

I agree with the rest here 9121 is NOT appropriate for the situation. The fact that you dialed the emergency number over fast food takes away your credibility. Like another poster said what if someone had, god forbid, an actual emergency, and the cops and rescue personnel were tied up with your petty complaint. Also i hesitate to point it out but YOU GAVE THE FOOD BACK, why was it not made correctly, at that point I believe the most they can do is issue you a correctly made product. I can understand being flustered/frustrated and angry but calling for the manager's firing is a bit too much.

You are an idiot. First for blaming the business for the actions of a truck driver and second for calling 911 for such a ridiculous reason.
You cannot possibly be for real since only a complete moron would tie up the 911 operators for selfish, self absorbed reasons. Do the world a favor and never venture out in it again. You are obviously incapable of common sense.
Please let this letter be a farce.

You called 911? Are you serious??? How... how... how is this considered an emergency??? I mean, I can't even wrap my mind around this one! Stubbing your toe is more of an emergency then "bad service"
Plus, how is a truck blocking your way THEIR fault anyway? Why should they apologize? Was it a McDonalds truck delivering food? If so, then I can understand why you would want to talk to a manager - but not why you would dream of escalating it to that level. And, if it WAS a Mcdonalds truck, you need to put that pretty important detail in your letter. Because otherwise it just sounds like a customer parking, which is not the fault of mcdonalds at all.
You escalated it to this level... and for that you are without food and 9 bucks. And, McDonalds does not respond to letter submitted from PFB (unless something has changed recently that i am unaware of) so you might have to call that 1800 number after all. Just dont confuse this with an emergency and call 911.

I still don't get why people eat at McDonalds. McDonalds promotes obesity. This is why 65% of Americans are obese or overweight. McDonald's knows it is easy for many people to fall in their "trap" because it tastes good and is easier than cooking sometimes. However, look at what it does to your body. If I were you I just would never eat there again.

The next time a delivery truck is blocking the drive thru, park your car and walk your lazy butt into the store to purchase your artery-clogging grease bombs.
And most important of all NEVER TIE UP 911 SERVICES FOR SUCH A STUPID REASON EVER AGAIN. 911 is for actual emergencies, not for spoiled whining when you are throwing a hissy fit. Grow up and consider the $9 to be a small lesson in maturity.

I haven't read any other comments, but the first thing that comes to mind is that you desperately need to be educated as to when to call 911. I find it hard to imagine the operator did not immediately tell you 911 is for emergencies, call your local police and hang up.
When my local McD' gets a delivery, what you describe takes place. As far as the tractor trailer in the DT, that is.
If I had prepared food and sold it to you, I would not take it back, unopened, for spite. If the food were defective, yes. An argument could be made that all McD's food is defective, but that is a different matter.
Beyond that, I can't say add anything constructive. Except this:
Jerry: "Excuse me I'd like to return this jacket."
Teller: "Certainly. May I ask why?"
Jerry: "........For spite..."
Teller: "Spite?"
Jerry: "That's right. I don't care for the salesman that sold it to me."
Teller: "I don't think you can return an item for spite."
Jerry: "What do you mean?"
Teller: "Well if there was some problem with the garment. If it were unsatisfactory in some way, then
we could do it for you, but I'm afraid spite doesn't fit into any of our conditions for a refund"
Jerry: "That's ridiculous, I want to return it. What's the difference what the reason is."
Teller: "Let me speak with the manager...excuse me .............Bob!"
(walks over to the manager and whispers)
Teller "........spite....."(Manager walks over)
Bob: "What seems to be the problem?"
Jerry : "Well I want to return this jacket and she asked me why and I said for spite and now she
won't take it back."
Bob: "That's true. You can't return an item based purely on spite."
Jerry:. "Well So fine then ..then I don't want it and then that's why I'm returning it"
Bob: "Well you already said spite so......"
Jerry: "But I changed my mind.."
Bob: "No...you said spite...Too late."

McDonald's owes you nothing.
You want to know why? You whole complaint is based on bullshit. McDonald's owes no apology for what an 18 wheeler did, they have no control over it. You got your food and if returned has to be thrown away, a loss for them, over something as stupid as you.
Also, you are not paying $9.14 for ANY experience, you are paying for the food.
Grow up and stop being so pathetic.

You may have never encountered a business that wouldn't give you your money back if you weren't satisfied, but I can assure you that plenty of places won't take back items they can't sell to someone else unless there is something wrong with them. Food falls in that category.
As for the 911 call, diverting emergency services from people who may need them to your little tantrum, even if only for a few moments, is a whole lot worse than not saying "I'm sorry for your inconvenience." In some areas calling 911 when there isn't an emergency can result in legal charges. I hope that this McDonald's is in one of them.
