I'd agree with everyone - this letter is unreadable as it stands. I
read bits but I really couldn't get through the whole thing. Spell
check, lose the capitals, break up the paragraphs...

Which is a shame because it seems to highlight a genuine problem -
something with more validity than many letters here. I also think it's
good that when saying what they want the letter writer not only asks
for an apology and compensation but praise for the person who did get
it right.

I am very taken with "Geek Squard" though - it just seems
so, well geeky, to be squared.

This letter is really confusing, and im sure that the person reading
this could care less about your sleeping habits.

Please, re-write this without the CAPS LOCK key on. I hate commenting
on spelling errors and grammar, but I can't help it here. There are
just so many. If you really want results from verizon, re-write this
letter and keep it simple and polite. You can still get your point
across in a firm but polite manner.

"THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM A NIC CARD"

Oy, my own personal pet peeve. NIC means Network Interface Card, so
it's not a NIC Card, it's just a NIC.

Now that I'm finished with my own hangups... As others have most
likely said, it'd be better if this letter used both upper-case and
lower-case letters. You might not like the advice, but most companies
don't really take letters seriously if they're all in capital letters
- even if you're that angry. Additionally, using a spellcheck will
also help... like it or not, they're more apt to pay attention to a
well worded, well spelled letter, and if you simply MUST use capitals,
then turn off the option of "ignore words in uppercase".

Now personally, I'm not sure why you had to go to Verizon to repair
your NIC. It can easily be repaired at any store such as Best Buys,
Circuit City (etc) or you can purchase a new one. Plus, when you
compare the cost of "repair plus one year of mandatory service
with Verizon" to the cost of a new NIC, you'll find the NIC is
the cheaper of the two.

I would also recommend that you purchase a router. Not only will it
help protect you from hackers (assuming you set up your own password),
it can also protect your NIC from power surges. Yes, a NIC can die
from a power surge along your DSL line.

I was only able to read about half of this before my eyes started to
hurt, and that's probably more than anybody at Verizon will read. Turn
off the Caps Lock and calm down. Explain what happened and when in
proper paragraphs, grammar and spelling. Don't ask for freebies,
that's kind of considered bad taste. Sarcasm isn't really appreciated
either (I'm assuming that's what the "written letter of
praise" is. Try to keep emotion out of it. Use these tips and try
again and I'm sure you'll get a response.

I could not follow this letter at all. The caps are distracting, the
spelling and grammar are atrocious and the demand for a 5 month
protection plan makes no sense.

If you truly want your situation to be taken seriously, you might want
to re-write this letter.

What college are you going to? Mine did not teach me to write
business letters in all capital letters. I'm sorry you had such
problems, but PLEASE, re-write your letter!

Are you going to take any other courses online? Keep your mind open,
this could be the beginning of something big.

So, it appears that you had a happy ending. You now want the bad tecs
to write a letter of praise to the good tec? I'm glad that you want
the tec that finally helped you to be rewarded, that shows that you
are trying to be fair. I would suggest a rewrite, though. Unlock the
caps, work on the punctuation and sentence structure. I understand
that this was a frustrating and confusing situation for you, and
thought that you might be trying to give them a taste of their own
medicine with this letter.
However the message(s) are getting lost.
Good luck with school.
