Salesmen lie

Write a Letter to this Company

I signed up for Bally's on January 24, 2008. The "salesman" told me, that within 30 days, BEFORE my first billing, I had the option to cancel. I called Bally's 866 number, and the customer service rep informed me that that was not true, and I could only cancel within 3 days of my contract. I explained to her that I was flat out lied to by one of their sales people, and that I wanted to cancel. She offered to submit a complaint, and said I would get a call within 35-40 days. It is 12 days until my first payment will be deducted, and I want to cancel. I am furious that I would be lied to in such a manner.

I want my contract to be canceled. Will not settle for anything less, and I believe I deserve more for their faulty practices and their salesmans lie. A simple "apology" from a nameless/faceless person on the phone does not cut it.

It's rather pathetic by RedheadwGlasses Sun February 17, 2008 @ 11:35 PM

I had to neogtiate some stipulations for PT. They said "Why do
you care, your insurance covers it all anyway!"

It's not much, but it saved my insurance (and anyone else paying a
premium for the same company) about 100 bucks.

How do they sleep at night?

Look at your contract. You may find several more surprises or even
advantages to you on how to cancel the contract.

What does your contract say? That's the deciding factor. If you just
decide to cancel and not pay Bally's will send you into collections in
a heartbeat.

Regardless of what the salesman says, what matters is what's in the
contract that you signed. An oral agreement or implied warranty based
on a sales pitch, true or false, has no bearing on the agreement.
