On march 2,2008 I was doing my weekly grocery shoppingI grabbed an 8pack of Basic paper towels fron an endcap. The sign read $2.98. I could not find a working price check scanner so I waited until I went to the registers. The bundle scanned $8.24. The cashier put her light on to signal a head cashier. After about 10 mins one finally showed up. She sent another cashier to check the price. The sign still said $2.98. The head cashier wanted me to speak to a manger, but I chose not to. Then she said store policy was to offer $3.00 off. I refused that. I should have been given the product for the price that sign read.

Just make sure that employees follw through on their jobs. The endcap isn't finished until the price signs are correct. As an employee of Home Depot, the customer would have been given the incorrect price and the sign would have been changed.

Many time customers move signs. Im not saying that you did, but maybe
another customer did. I see your point but you could have discussed it
further with the manager in person too. He may have made it better for
you.

Some places offer to change the price to what the sign says, some do
not. Legally they do not have to, you can refuse to buy it. Besides,
$2.98 is WAY to low for 8 pack of paper towels.
