VOOM HD

I signed up for Dish Network solely to get the VOOM HD channels and 4 months after I signed up Dish Network cancelled the VOOM HD programming without notice. When I called them to complain they told me basically they didn't care they canceled the only reason I bought their service and that I had to honor the contract or pay $200.00 in fees to get out of their contract. I'm furious as it is a classic case of bait and switch. Illegal if you buy a car or any other consumer item, but Dish Network seems thinks it is perfectly fine to do it with their service.

I want out of the Dish Network contract with no penalties for me and I want a refund of every monthly fee since they canceled VOOM HD. There is no reason for me to keep this service any longer.

We joined dish networks for Voom HD and loved it for 5 years and knew
we were paying a premium. But when the canceled without warning and
did not give a crap about us we were very upset. We complained but
got non human replies via e-mail; typical of the dish network customer
support experience - WEAK!

We have now canceled serivces with dish and moved to Directv. We are
saving $788 in year one then $216 in year two for the same channels
and are getting more HD! fyi, American Express is giving $50 to switch
to Directv before 7/31/08. I would advise anyone to cancel and not
worry about the petty penalties as you can still save even if you have
many months to go. Plus why would you stay and endorse their bait and
switch poor service by giving them more of your moeny! fight back and
cancel and tell everyone in your network of friends to do othe same! I
am! Eat that Charlie Ergen of dish!

I honestly wish people would look something up before they use it in a
sentence.
DISH doesn't care why you signed up...only that you did and now you
are either going to pay the contractural rate or get out of it by
paying them $200.

Its your choice...either enjoy the rest of the programming or cancel
it.

in a book called "This is NOT a classic case of bait and switch".
If you read the user agreement, I am sure you'll see that they reserve
the right to add or drop channels. Channels that are not as popular -
and this means with the majority of their subscribers, not just you -
will not stay around.

I like your book idea. I think I will gather all of the Target Return
Policy letters and create my own book. I'm going to sell it with a
bonus receipt pouch.
