Rudeness and Lack of Accuracy at Dunkin Donuts

Posted Sun June 22, 2008 12:00 pm, by RUSS K. written to Dunkin Donuts

Write a Letter to this Company

I ordered the flatbread turkey sausage with egg whites for breakfast. I was not told that they did not have any egg white turkey sausage. Upon paying for my meal at 7 a.m., I went to sit down and eat my meal. Upon eating the meal, I realized that they had given me a turkey, ham, and cheese flatbread without telling me of the change! As a diabetic, I had no choice but to finish the meal because I had taken my shot already and I needed the carbs. But I was disgusted at their rudeness and lack of accuracy. Also, there was no diet soda in the fridge so I could not order a drink as a diabetic!

I would like you to train the employees at this location on how to smile, serve customers, and stock enough food for customers so they can order what they want. I also want to be reimbursed for my meal.

I've seen ridiculous 'complaints' on PFB, but this one takes the cake,
or should I say donut!

Sorry...your own fault for not taking the sandwich back to the counter
when you found out it was not what your ordered, especially since you
sat right there and ate it.

As for the diet soda...you can have water you know...same thing
basically.

As others posters wrote, why do you keep going to fast food places if
you are a diabetic and also why do you constantly write about issues
that could have been corrected by you at that time?

What is a diabetic doing eating at Dunkin Donuts in the first place???

Russ..you seem to have a problem every time you eat out. You had a
problem before at this Dunkin Donuts and you've had problems at
McDonald's, Applebees, The Cheesecake Factory, the Costco food court,
BLT Steak at the Ritz Carlton, Subway and the Target Pizza Hut. Maybe
you should eat at home more.

"I realized that they had given me a turkey, ham, and cheese flatbread
without telling me of the change!"

Isn't it at all possible they made a mistake and simply handed you the
wrong sandwich? This scenario seems more likely to me than them
accepting your order, discovering they were out of eggs, and simply
deciding to substitute a turkey, ham, and cheese sandwich without a
word about it to you. I'm willing to bet that if you had brought it
back up to the counter you would have been given the correct sandwich.

"Upon" reading your letter...I'm sure you acted like this
huh?....."Good Morning Maam/Sir, I hate to be a bother but the
sandwich I ordered is prepared incorrectly, might I have another on
prepared please? Oh and if you don't mind could you please check and
see if you have any more diet sodas? If not, that's okay no biggie,
Ill just have water"

Then they got all rude with you?! They didn't smile?! I don't smile
at 7am "Upon" working a coupla hours either...lol

You should not be reimbursed for your meal. You chose to consume it.
Like it or not. Had you chose to act "Upon" like I stated above and
then they were indignate then the scenario would be different and the
manager should have refunded you on the spot. NOT AFTER YOU LEFT THE
PREMISES and complained.

I agree, they were very poor in communication. It sounds as though
you got no where near what you ordred.

However, speak up on the spot. You paid, and you deserve what you
ordered, not the mix up.

I get that you needed to eat. You could have maybe started on some
whole wheat toast while they remade your flatbread.

There was no drink you could order? Honestly? There was no water? No
fruit juice? No milk?

Russ K.,

Feedback is extremely important to any business.

However, it is best served HOT. I suggest, next time you have an issue
that you share it with the Manager on the spot affording yourself the
chance to get a do over and management the chance to make it right.

I'm with the other commentors regarding trying to fugure out where and
how rudeness came into play.

In the meantime should you not hear back from the corporate office I
might suggest you call that store and speak with the Manager during an
off peak time.

Stop back and let us know what reaction your letter generates.

How were they rude? Sounds like they messed up your order, but they
are human, and this could happen anywhere.

Speak up at the time!

by brookeanne Posted Sun June 22, 2008 @ 8:00 AM

If you did not get what you ordered why in the world would you pay for
it?

As a diabetic I don't thing a few minutes wait to get something you
wanted would have been detrimental

SPEAK up for yourself you paid for it so ask for something.

You were disgusted at the employees rudeness. No details.

Some places do run out of things.
