Par for the course!!! Some stupid, lazy driver apparently just thru out my package into tall grass beside my driveway. About 1 foot from the package was an attempted delivery notice which was BLANK. It was apparent that the pkg had been there for some time due to dust and weeds on it. I only saw it in passing and backed up to pick up what I thought was someone's trash that had blown onto my land. According to the vendor, whom I called immediately, the pkg had been delivered the day before I found it!!! The vendor also stated that it was supposed to be "signed for"! Got news for them! ups doesn't give a flying rat's ass about people's stuff, or even their own rules of operation! I've battled this problem for years and have had absolutely no change. They don't care enough to correct their problem. They have had to pay for damaged, mis-delivered pkgs, un-delivered pkgs in the past, but they still don't care or fix the problem!!! I've ordered them off my property and the idiots they hire for drivers, managers can't even figure out what that means! Yes, I've had a chat with one so-called manager, who did bother to pick up the phone, and who didn't give a hoot. Do you know that no one can call their "local" office to complain. You have to call an 800 #. It's been this way for as long as I can remember. This is probably due to the SORRY service they provide and don't want to have to answer the multitudes of complaints! I've always tried to remember to instruct vendors NEVER to use ups, due to their SORRY service, but I've forgotten in the past, and sometimes vendors screw up. Those vendors that can't seem to correct their screw-ups in shipping don't get my business anymore and are made fully aware of the icompetence of ups and why my business goes elsewhere! This sorry company is just as sorry in SE Texas as it is in NE Texas. This is a statement made from vast experience in dealing with ups screw-ups in both areas! This latest fiasco started last Wed., 7/23, when the pkg was "delivered", and to date, Mon., 7/28, I've rec'd NO CONTACT from anyone re this repeated screw-up. Additionally, according to the vendor, another pkg had been shipped via the same SORRY ups and was scheduled for delivery the same day that I spoke with the vendor, which was Thurs., 7/24. NO attempted delivery, NO attempted notification, NO nothing from this sorry ups. re the 2d pkg. I'll bet my bottom dollar they sent the pkg back saying it was refused, which is a lie they've used before. By the way, since the vendor brought it up, the "required" signature probably was signed for BY THE STUPID DRIVER! They have this "driver release" rule. One of their rules, I've previously discovered and dealt with before, which they like to follow because it means less work for them!!!
I want a personal written apology from all involved; the stupid driver, including all the incompetent managers above him, local and regional, etc. (They must be incompetent, since they haven't fixed THEIR problem.) If by some chance, someone does accidently send something to me, then I want them to follow their procedures. Lord knows, I'll do everything in my power NEVER to use this sorry ups. I want a refund for all shipping costs they've cost me and missing merchandise!

Sherri,
Wow! Where to start?
You resort to name calling and have ordered UPS off your property yet you can't understand why they left the package in high grass on your property? Personally, I don't blame them.
Just a little something for you to think about, if you think the worst and expect worst, you're going to get the worst.
If you expect good service, hey, guess what, you will get good service.
I've never had trouble with UPS. Never.
I was getting ready to post this when UPS delivered a package to me. They always deliver the package to my side door and as I stepped out the door to pick up the package, the UPS driver asked if I needed anything. It could be because I expect good service from UPS.

First - decaf can taste just as good as ceffeinated. OK, now that we have that cleared up....
I had a problem with UPS. I ordered a computer from Dell, and since I wasn't home when they delivered it, they left it with a neighbor. Although I totally trust my neighbor, I thought it was a bad policy to leave big ticket items with anyone other than the recipient, and not only that, I was supposed to sign for it myself.
I called UPS and explained calmly and rationally what happened and not only did they apologize, the next day the driver personally apologized to me.
If you had a legitimate complaint, you should have contacted UPS and acted like a civilized adult rather than an ignorant raving lunatic. I am sure you would have had a much more satisfactory resolution to your situation. I don't blame them for not wanting to stop at your place. You sound like a time bomb.

My sides are aching from laughing. I am picturing some crazy lady with a shotgun "Get the helllll off my property!" on a run down porch of an old brown house, surrounded by tall grass and tumbleweeds. So the UPS Guy drops the box in the tall grass, and runs back to the truck with the crazy lady chasing after him. Dodging shotgun shells the whole way.
Woo-hoo-hoo!!
Question: If you ordered them off your property, how did you expect them to deliver packages? Hmmm.

I'm sure UPS will apologize for their lapse in service. How about you apologizing for this appallingly rude letter, and to all the employees you insulted?
By the way, that tracking number you provided in your title is for you to see when your package was delivered. No need for it to sit there gathering dust and weeds.

"package into tall grass beside my driveway." "dust and weeds on it." "trash that had blown onto my land."
Sounds like heaven.

Maybe they actually did figure out what you meant and that's why they throw your packages from the truck into the yard?
I'm just saying.

If this is the way you normally conduct yourself, I'd say YOU owe several people at UPS a personal written apology!

With the way you disparaged UPS and their employees, I highly doubt that you'll reap any results regarding your issue.

is only good when they deliver it to the right house! In December, my sister sent a package of items I was going to give out at my daughters' classes Xmas party. I knew when to expect it, and worked at my computer all day. I checked about every 30 minutes for the UPS tracking info. Because we live rurally, packages are usually delivered after 2:30 pm. I heard the truck drive up, and then 2 minutes later, saw it drive away. I went outside- no package. I walked around our yard, then went and checked online and it said "delivered- signed for." I called them right away, and the lady who I spoke to told me that A) she couldn't call the driver even though he was probably less than a mile away, and B)I would have to call my sister and have her call UPS and get a trace started. This was Friday, after my sister had left work, and so it would be Monday before she could do that. The woman swore that someone from the local office would call me asap. When I questioned the "signed for" part of the tracking, she hemmed and hawed and had no answer. I started going to all the neighbors houses, and finally found our package- on the neighbors porch. It had NOT been signed for - they were on a 2 week anniversary trip to Barbados!
I called UPS back, and was pretty upset. The second "customer service" rep was just downright rude. When she looked at the notes and I told her that not only had someone NOT signed for it, but it had been left next door she made excuses " maybe he knocked and you didn't hear him, so he left it next door ( Nope, I am 10 feet from the front door)- "Well, someone next door must have signed for it" ( Nope again, unless you travel overseas to obtain signatures) " Well, they must have a similar house number and he glanced quickly and thought it was yours" ( Hmmm, I'm no Einstein, but I can tell the difference between 1304 and 1320)
Before she hung up, she told me she was cancelling my call fom the local office and that my sister could complain on her end because " At least you got your package!" GRRRRRRRR
So the online tracking is great- if you have a driver who is honest and can read- but other wise it's useless.
I hated to complain about UPS- I know Leanne's hubby is a driver, and this letter is soooooo wrong, but I have a pretty low opinion of their delivery service.

you spoke to on the phone was being lazy. She can contact the driver through their board they carry. They do it all the time, trust me when they want something they annoy the heck out of my hubby plenty over minor enough things.

Sherri while getting rid of anger is a very good thing its not so good to direct it to every employee at UPS. Just the driver is sufficient if its found that he/she deliberately just shoved your package off the truck hoping someone would see it eventually.
It would be very suspecious if they used the excuse that it happen to "fall off the truck" right at the address it was to be delivered.
And at least your package got on your property. I take it you have not read the other complaint in here recently regarding a package left on someone's porch...

Thanks for the shortcut. There is no reason to read this letter, because you are insulting the company's employees. This is not the way to get a business to respond. If you want courtesy, you should show it.
Just imagine what the drivers say, in private, about some of the customers. I wonder which view is more accurate, the customer's or the driver's?
By the way, I have my local UPS hub's telephone number. If you cared enough to get involved in your package delivery, you would find out yours. There is a way to not use UPS, and I hope you figure it out.
I hope your letter is deleted, because it deserves to be.
