WOW! Again, another just horrible 20 minutes and not even getting my whole order, due to the rude employees and a new manager:(with only two weeks training who stated she didn't know the policy's due to her being new), so some rude just plain sarcastic employee jumped in stating since she knows nothing, yes she said that,b /c she is new, they could not break My 50.00! It was 7:23pm, i had my usual my hubby and my drink then one for my mom, well the total came to 9.11 and I only had 7.00 then a 50.00 they rudely argued with me, said Starbucks wont break any 50 dollar bills ever!!!! Though thtey have before, they m ade me not be able to get my mom's drink, NO CUSTOMER SERIVCE, i am so sick of giving this 19461 HWY 410 E, Bonney Lake, WA 98391 a chance, that after this treatment of telling me to either loose my order or pay for the two I could afford, that NO means No and they wont break the 50.00 and they never do drops, can you believe that? It's coperate, however if I would have had a car full like I have sometimes done for the soccer team, what would they have done then. They made Starbucks Loose a Valid customers, have the bank statements to prove over 100+ spent there weekly, and they wouldnt give me the third coffee after smirking through thte whole time!WHERE IS CUOMSTER SERVICE, WHERE IS CUSTOMER SHOULDN"T HAVE TO LOOSE THE ITEM IF THEY ARE PAYING FOR< THE CUSTOMER IS RIGHT! why aren't managers trained to know correct policy's. I am in awee that I had to come home empty handed and explaint o my guest "my mom" that Guess what, they wouldn't break my 50.00 so I had to cancel ur coffee! WHy did she have to argue this, and tell me no 50.00 are ever broke, Starbucks is huge I have broken 100.00 bills before. I told them I was taking this higher up, they stated, they didn't care just either get the coffees I can afford, or leave b/c I am holding up the drive through line. SHe gave me some manders card because she is too new and doesnt know what to due in these situations,. how about training her correctly, and all your employees in this store. YOU NEVER turn away , good customers that buy twice daily! WOW, I am so upset that I am actually done at this Satrbucks going back to Big Foot. On the days we work though I will still go to Starbucks in Auburn. I will be taking this to the Better Business Beareu, along to the newspaper I am writing an article about my situation here. And oh by the way guess what NEVER GOT MY RECiept OY MY SLEEVE, I was told I had to pay for an extra cup as my hot latte was burning hot (on my hands!). I haven't heard back from the other two feedbacks so I am done, this will be in the newspaper, I will make sure of this, since I myself am a Buisness Lady who trains in Customer Service, and Taking Care of the Customer!!!!
I want a meeting with The CEO of Starbucks since I live close to Seattle. I am so angry that I keep getting treated like I am scum, when I am a very classy Buisness Woman! I can promise you my work place will no longer be going to this Starbucks, and i will be writing ASAP to the business news, the newspapers that are local, and to the BBB. I want these employees reprimanded, and to learn to treat customers with respect, and NEVER turn away buisness! I am sick of the rude, lying, theft, no class this store hires! THey must not train them either from them vies on Starbucks. I am just furious!

So, classy business woman...do you mind letting me know what kind of classy business you are in that finds it perfectly acceptable that you have less of a grasp on spelling and grammar than a six-year-old?

May I suggest an English as a First Language course?

And then what would you have to complain about?
They can do that, you know. Plaster a picture of the "classy buisness woman" next to the register, and a great big "DO NOT SERVE" under it. Suddenly you will realize that maybe you aren't as classy as you thought.

WOW! I totally knew this letter was from you, I couldn't be bothered to read the entire thing, because to be honest, I don't really care, You're use of capitals irritates me and I can't believe you're such a glutton for punishment that you keep going to a stupid store that you don't think treats you right.
FYI - You can write ASAP to the "business news, the newspapers that are local" (usually called local newspapers), and to the BBB. No one will care, probably not even the BBB. They don't have to accept 50s and 100s. Get over it. Starbucks won't even care because you told them that on the days you work you'll still go to the Auburn store. So they're not really losing your money. The CEO has more important things to do than meet with you.

If you were such a "Classy Business Lady", (smirk), then you should be able to construct a better business letter.

Good grief, buy a container of flavored coffee mate and a bag of Starbucks ground coffee and fire up your coffee maker.
Last letter it was $100.00 daily, and now it's $100.00 weekly. Quit going to this location! I personally think that 7:30 pm is a little late for coffee, I would prefer some wine at that hour! :o)

I work in a hotel candy/gift shop at Indiana University. I do all the training for the student employees, and I have instructed them to never take a 50.00 or 100.00 bill. Basically not everyone is honest and we and other stores in the union have too many counterfeit bills. So my advice is to go to the bank and get change. Also you might want to get spell checker before writing into the newspaper.

Buy twice daily? You must be the sole reason SB is in business. I have a coworker who buys about 3x times a day, is far classier (with a better grasp on communication) and knows better then to attempt to break a $50 for coffee.
I know someone else already said it, but unless you are spending at least $30, there is a good chance they cannot break your bill and still have change for other customers,
What you can do, buy yourself (and your poor mother) a few SB cards, (let's say $50 cards), and use your $50 bill...carry the card around, use that, and no worries!

Here's hint for you: A lot of people try to counterfeit $50s and $100s. Stores decline to accept them for that reason.
Let's say you got a counterfeit $50 someplace. Grocery store, for example. You don't know it's counterfeit.
You spend it at SB, and get your $40 and change back.
SB takes it to the bank and finds out it's not real. Now they're out $50 and the coffees.
I want to stress again that I do not think you would knowingly pass a counterfeit bill. I'm just pointing out why most stores have a policy against accepting large bills.
Since you're a "very classy Buisness Woman", you certainly have a credit card with a large limit. You could have used that. Then poor Mom would have been able to have her coffee.

I don't know about WA, but here in Canada, especially BC, we use our debit cards a LOT. (okay, maybe it's just ME who uses it a lot...?) :)
I've been in situations where I am short on a small cash purchase and it only takes a split second to whip out the ol' debit card, give it a swipe in the machine and walk away with my purchase.
Heck, you probably could have used a credit card, no?
I am having a hard time accepting the fact that ANYone would go on a rampage over $2.11

Just because you say it doesn't make it true.
Your English skills are horrible, your expectations unreasonable (meet with Starbucks CEO) and your attitude stinks. I wouldn't be surprised if the customer service team passes this around and each person writes a funny comment on it.
What the heck is "buisness", anyway?

Everything else in the letter aside, when given the choice between giving up your coffee or letting your mother go without, you chose to keep your coffee? Wow. Talk about your respect for your elders.

Like I always say... decaf can taste just as good as regular. You have had way too much caffeine.
Honestly though, you come across as more of a raving lunatic rather than a "classy businesswoman". A few well chosen words can go a lot further than a page full of crap that contains bad grammar, misspellings, and is basically unreadable. If you really do train people in customer service then you should understand how your approach is not constructive in any way. There are better ways to deal with this than having a meltdown like you obviously did. You call Starbucks no class when it is YOU who is displaying zero class.
FYI - There are a lot of places that won't break any bill larger than a $20 these days. It's very common actually and I am surprised that YOU are so shocked by it. I never expect a business to take any larger bills. If they do, it's a nice surprise, but if they don't, I am not surprised at all.

"High Class Business Woman my A$$!"
Serious grammar mistakes! I could not even finish reading the whole complaint because of this. My head hurts now.
Buisness??? Are you serious? I probably would have considered it being a typo if you didnt mispell business like four times.

Quit going to SB. They are over priced and not that great. Trya a One-Shop local (I know, in Seattle SB IS local but they are EVERYWHERE!) drive-thru stand. They are usally better and a bit cheaper. I haven't been to a SB in years. I go to a little One-Shop place in a parking lot. I can get a 20oz 2 shoot Latte with exta, extra, EXTRA Cinnimon for $3.75. They coffee they use is better that anything I had ever gotten from SB.
If you keep writing them bad letters with all the insults and shortcuts, every one of them will be "Round Filed" (meaning Tossed in the trash). You will NOT get to talk with the CEO. The newspapers and the BBB wont care about this.
After thinking a moment, you are griping about COFFEE? Think of all the people in the World that have to hunt of a bit of clean WATER of a couple of grains of rice to eat. Think of the Troops Overseas that would love a cup of even crappy coffee in a nice, safe, COOL car. Its 120 degrees there with them in full gear carring a 50 pound pack. And you are bithing about FREAKING COFFEE!!
Get a life and lay off the caffene!

If you go to Starbucks as often as you claim, you could have bought a $50 gift card and then used the gift card to pay for the order. There would have been no change due or you could paid for the order with a credit card. I guess you'd rather complain and have all the drama.

Classy business woman my arse. You sound more like a demanding self-centered person who thinks the world revolves around you. If you weren't in Washington, I'd swear you were my sister in law who thinks that everything should be her her her!
Get a grip, stop drinking so much coffee and try water for once. Obviously you're drinking so much it's making you high strung, as proven by this poor attempt of a letter.

I'm glad you live half a continent away. Your psychotic display here is very telling of the kind of customer service you get.
Oh, and a "classy Biusness Woman" wouldn't have written this page full of crap (you can't even spell "business!"). You're a complete liar.

This is the same person who wants a $300 gift card.
It is hard for me to follow the details due to the writing style, however, I think she is annoyed with the service at two of the Starbucks near her.
The one she is complaining about today is the one she said was great in her last letter.
It appears Starbucks has caused this issue themselves, if they have, indeed broken a 50 for her in the past. Businesses need to be consistent to avoid this sort of tirade.

wow that really surprises me i work for a starbucks in iowa were as yes we do have a policy were we dont keep any thing over a $10 bill in our drawer and very rarely even have that. however we are supposed to work with our customer i know i would have! Yesterday i had a customer who didnt have anything other then a 50.00 so i went ahead and just gave her the drink! the policy is to use your better judgment so in your case i asked for a different form of payment and when you would have said that you have 7.00 then i would have given you one of your drinks for free then taken your 7.00 or if you didnt havent the 7.00 i would have taken the 50.00 and did what i could with it But I would NEVER turn you away especially since i konw you have money for your drink.

Wow, I think you might want to lay off the caffeine for a bit. That early in the morning, they might not have had change for a $50 on a Sunday morning.
One other thing. I would have gotten my mother's coffee and not gotten myself one, if that were the only option, but I think if the coffee were that important, you could have broken the $50 elsewhere.
