SIRIUSLY SINATRA...

Write a Letter to this Company

August 27, 2008

Hello... I wrote a letter to Mel Karmazin several weeks ago & am very disappointed, quite frankly, that he did not find the time to respond. In any case, I listen to Siriusly Sinatra in my car & in my office, but am a bit perplexed about the choice of artists I've heard, which was the subject matter of the letter I wrote to Mr. Karmazin. I must ask him again - even more emphatically - that you do NOT play Bob Dylan OR Elton John on this particular station, as neither one of them belongs there!!! I cannot stress enough that it's very frustrating & hope that you take this letter to heart. Thanx for your time & have a lovely day, TERRI SPIEGEL...

but then I like the Mills Brothers and a lot of the music from the
40's and early 50's too. So I guess I was just born in the wrong
era...LOL

I looked at the Sirius website for a description of this station
(which I have listened to) and here is one blurb:

"The Chairman of the Board is at home everyday on channel 75 along
with the great voices of our time. From Dean Martin and Tony Bennett
to Michael Buble and Diana Krall, Frank is joined by great artists and
America's greatest songs."

Here is another: "Music from Frank Sinatra and the greatest singers of
all time."

In my opinion, Bob Dylan and Elton John were contemporaries of
Sinatra, at least in the 70's. Sure they are different styles. But
one could easily argue that Dylan and John are two other of the
"greatest singers of all time." They are certainly legends.

If the station is going to play music of artists *other* than Sinatra,
where the line is drawn becomes a bit subjective.

You have made your opinion known, and that is what this site is all
about. They may take your letter siriusly, but they may not agree
with your position. You should consider that while waiting for a
reply.
