I need a credit card for school but keep getting denied

I turned eighteen this past March and have been applying for a credit card ever since. I am unable to receive a credit card due to my lack of credit history (I've never had one before) and I'm needing one asap in order to buy a new laptop for school. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good starter credit cards that will help me build my credit history without having to pay a ton of interest or fees. Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

My suggestion would to be to save up some money and pay cash for a new
laptop. That way, you might even not buy a more expensive one than you
really need, because you will be forking out cash to pay for it.

You dont need credit or credit cards to make it in life. Forgoing
things until you have the money to pay for what you want is the key.
Too often people want what they want now, even if they dont have the
money for it.

My wife and I just got back from spending 10 days in Maui. We never
once needed a credit card, they were happy to take a Check Card.

Dont fall into the credit card traps, if you play with the snakes, you
will eventually get bit.

Good Day

and I wish more people would be less dependent on these cards. But for
some reason people think this is the gateway to adult hood in some
cases.

What this young man also does not realize is the more he tries to
apply and the more he gets denied the more negative reports go on to
his credit report...which is not in existence since he has applied for
cards.

Ricki S.,

Excellent question.

So as not to reinvent the wheel and take up alot of space I have
pasted a link below that you might copy, paste and read:

Stop back and let us know how things go and if this information and
what will be offered by others is of any use.
