Unsatisfactory visit

Write a Letter to this Company

My family and I stayed at the Springhill Suites by Mariott in Gaithersburg from January 1st through January 3, 2009. On January 2, at approximately 7 PM, I slipped on some water just outside the pool area. I immediately reported it to the front desk staff person ( I believe her name was . I stated that I thought that there should be carpeting going down the corridor of the pool area. The staff person was very nice and told me that she would put up a wet floor sign. During the night, I could not sleep because my leg was sore from the fall I had taken. In the morning I saw that it was also black and blue. I went to the front desk and spoke with . I stated that I really thought that a carpet needed to be put down the corridor. was also very nice but seemed more concerned about possible litigation. The reason that I made my complaint to the front desk was not litigation. I am not going to sue anyone . I just wanted to express my dissatisfactions and make a suggestion for future guests. I travel a lot both for pleasure and for business and notice that other hotels have carpets set up outside the walkway of their pool areas.

I would appreciate a call to discuss my complaint.

I have left a message for the General Manager but have not heard back from her.

Great complaint. I hope something comes of your complaint--surely
others have fallen from water on a slick floor surface as well.

Marci L.,

This is good feedback.

However, to expect that carpet be laid in that short period of time is
not realistic. The use of a throw carpet or walk-off mat might cause
more problems than it might correct.

I am sure that the GM or another rep for the company will be in
contact with you within the context of normal business hours.

You might want to ask PFB to remove your phone numbers from your
public letter.
